I stood at our motel room door about to knock when I noticed Jake pacing back and forth through the little opening in the curtains watching as he ran his hand through his hair. I put the coffee on the window ledge and quickly text Jake letting him know I'm here. I watch him take a breath then walks to the door. I step back watching as the door opens, seeing Jake look down at me I smile , grabbing the coffee and head inside. Hearing the door close behind him I place the food on the little table
" Sorry it took me a bit longer" I begin feeling Jake behind me
" I was starting to worry" I feel his breath hit the back of my neck and it sends a shiver down my spine. I close my eyes. Feeling his arm snake around my waist I open my eyes seeing his was just grabbing his food
" Sorry I'll get out of your way" I grab my food and sit down on my bed. Watching as Jake went and sat at the desk.
" Thank you for dinner" I don't look up pretending to look at my laptop
" You are very welcome" then Jake slips back into his own world .
After throwing out my garbage I begin scrolling through movies yawning as I finally pick one and I begin playing it. I lay back grabbing my ear buds
" What are you watching?" I yawn again
" A movie about hackers" I look up and smile seeing Jake's wearing glasses he grins
" Any good?" I shrug
" Just started it " he nods about to turn away
" Want to come watch it?'' Jake stares at me weighing his options. He takes off his glasses and puts them on his laptop. He walks over and sits beside me, his arms crossed. I put my laptop on my legs, hitting play glancing over at Jake. I see he isn't giving much away. Was he feeling uncomfortable? I couldn't tell. I look back down watching the movie
" You look really good with glasses" I feel him look over at me
" What?" I chuckled looking at him He looks away hiding his flushed cheeks
" I only wear them when I am on my laptop or computer" I nod leaning my head on his arm
" So most of the time" I grin up at him as he grin back
" I think you look handsome with your glasses as well as without" I admit. I feel Jake move closer to me, my head now on his shoulder I smile feeling my eyes closing as I suddenly hear his heartbeat.
