Shoto Todoroki: Origin

Ryu felt a paw nudge his side, so he looked down and saw Flare staring at him.

"Vulpix pix vulpix vul vul vulpix pix pix vulpix vul vulpix! (I bet you five Pokepuffs that Todoroki uses his fire!)" she smirked.

The Aura Pokemon smirked back, "Lucar. (You're on.)"

Petal raised an eyebrow at them, "Bulbasaur bulbasaur bulba? (Are you two making bets on this?)"

"Car! (No!)" "Pix! (Nope!)" the guilty two denied at the same time.

Tenshi chuckled and smiled at her Pokemon's antics before looking back at the ring.

"Begin!"

Todoroki immediately shot ice at Deku, but the greenette fired back with his finger. This not only destroyed the ice, but also sent it flying backwards, if Todoroki hadn't put some ice behind him, he would've flown out if bounds.

"Wow! Midoriya managed to break Todoroki's insane opening move!" Present Mic yelled.

Tenshi stared at Deku with wide eyes, "He fired a shot at 100 percent..."

Todoroki used another ice attack, which lead to the same thing happening as last time.

"He countered again!"

"Lu lucar. (No kidding.)" Ryu mumbled, which lead to Zippy shushing him, "Lucario! (Don't you shush me!)" he growled, only for Petal to cover both of their mouthes with Vibe Whip.

"Bulbasaur bulba bulbasaur saur! (I've had it up to here with you two!)" she scolded.

Ryu and Zippy both sighed and sat down calmly, but not without giving each other the stink eye.

Tenshi sweat-dropped, "What am I going to do with them?" she muttered.

The same thing happened once again, not to anyone's surprise, and that's when Kirishima showed up.

"Oh, no, crap!" he exclaimed, "I'm missing it!"

"Hey, Kirishima! Congrats on making it to the second round!" Tenshi smiled.

"Thanks, Tenshi!" he put his hands on his hips, "Looks like I take down Bakugo next."

"I'll kill you." was the human Primape's response.

"Heh. Yeah, sure. In your dreams. No, but, seriously. It's crazy how you and Todoroki both have moves that blast the whole stadium! Must be pretty nice."

Sero pitched in, "Plus, you don't have to pause between attacks."

"It's not as easy as you think, ya morons." Bakugo retorted, catching Ryu's attention, "If you overuse your muscles, you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you run out of breath. Quirks are physical abilities, too. They can get worn out. You can't just use them nonstop."

As soon as he said that, Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari looked down at Tenshi before looking back up at Bakugo.

"Dont even try to deny what I said by using her as an example." Bakugo glared, knowing what they meant.

"It makes sense when you put it that way." Kirishima said, "I wonder if that's how Midoriya thinks he's gonna beat Todoroki."

Todoroki fired an ice attack once more, and Deku countered it using the last finger on his right hand.

Flurry buried her face in Tenshi's neck, not wanting to look at Deku's broken finger while her twin stared slack-jawed at the scene.

Todoroki then generated a path of ice and ran towards Deku on it.
