What If: Love in a College Town.

I decided to drive to Kelly this time. Home has been hell. Her and I did find a house to be content with until we build.  Even though I know it was more for just me and the boys. We found land that we loved and got that as well. We've been drawing and working on plans for it over FaceTime. It's been rough.

I haven't seen her since Labor Day. We came out to the public then that we were dating. Our lives have been hectic ever since with people and press and everything. We've FaceTimed every night and every morning but it was wearing us both out between her basketball and studying and my touring and trying to be a single dad when I'm home.

That was a whole other mess. Caroline only wanted me to have them when she had plans and stuff. She found another guy, which I was happy for her but she only cared about him and no one else. The boys hated when he was around. He tries to buy them with these crazy vacations and stuff but they saw right through that.

The best is when they tell him that he gets his money from his mommy and daddy and that I am the real millionaire. Caroline always got mad. However they have yet to meet Kelly I was really mad whenever she introduced them to this Todd guy. 

I was meeting Kellys parents tomorrow for the first time, she had her first home game tomorrow it was just an exhibition  but of course I wouldn't miss it. We were going to make them brunch and then go to the game that is at 2.

Her mom was over the moon for her. Her dad on the other hand wasn't to sure about the age gap and of course my divorce and all. My band loved her, so did Dierks, his wife and Jason and his girlfriend Brittany. Those are the only people she met. I of course met her roommates and their boyfriends.

Apparently her best friend Jay has been distance since we started dating and felt left out. I felt terrible but Kelly told me not to stress. She decided to stay in pre med, which I was so happy about. I didn't want her to stop her dream for me.

I pulled into the building her class was at, she wasn't expecting me until late tonight. It was 11, her class didn't end until 1130. Matthew and her had this class together so he drove so I could surprise her.

This was my first time being here with people knowing. I figured I would get swarmed with people asking for autographs and everything. Kelly said it was weird people would come up and talk to her randomly asking about me. As she put it "nerds" "unpopular" . I told her I hated cliques like that. But what else should I expect from the star basketball player.

I checked my phone. I had a text from her.

Kells💜: ughhh this class 🥱😴, seriously can't wait for it to be over. Then I'll have like 6 hours until you are here 😩. Sooo will you be giving in to me this time? 😏

I chuckled. But I told her not to take a Saturday class. She sent that an hour ago. God did I want to but I know we needed to wait. I was thinking maybe March on spring break we would've been dating for at least 7 months, and known each other for a year. But then I also thought, maybe this summer on the beach somewhere, or holding off until our one year. I just wanted it to be special.

Me: I'm sorry, think a few more weeks of it and then you'll be done, and one Step closer to being an amazing sexy doctor 🥵 it'll all be worth it in the end! I'm sorry I won't get in until late, but I promise if we did the 2 months of waiting to see each other again the extra 6 hours won't hurt... I love you❤️. Class is almost over, call me when you get back home. 😘
