We found some food that could be used in one of the rooms. I finally ate something sensible. We created relative comfort in the building. Kitchen was cleaned I even found half filled LPG cylinder. You tried to make the satellite phone work but it refused to come to life. We climbed the terrace to see afar and check if any humans were nearby. Almost a week passed- I focused on kitchen duties, you took up cleaning and investigating around. I prepared a leaf paste to cure your dust allergy. One of the other rooms was easily accessed through a window and it turned out to be guard's room. We found change of clothes and we took one set each, the pack of cards filled many an afternoon. We slept with less that arms distance between us, in the guard's room as you believed it was the safest.

One afternoon, maybe two weeks after our marriage, you dragged me to one of the farther rooms and pushed me on the false ceiling. This ceiling was almost a foot and height and extended to the half of the room. Few minutes later you also followed and closed the trap door from inside. We were literally rubbing bodies and I wanted to scream you made me shut up and looked out of the peephole. I pushed you and looked out myself. There were some burly people, maybe goons who were discussing that someone had spotted smoke few days back. We were not sure if they were friends or foes. They spent the night in the open area and left in the morning leaving most of the stuff messy. We carefully came out of hiding in the night just to make sure they had actually left.

We looked through the entire building twice to make sure that they were all gone. They had broken the locks of additional rooms and we checked these as well. Our kitchen had been turned upside down, I should have been angry but I was too scared about my life to be angry. We stood in the kitchen looking around and that is when I said it.

(Rukma looked at Aditi to continue and she nodded a yes. Vit had a feeling what was coming next. He was not sure if Yash needed to be here, but it was too late and ill-mannered to ask him to leave. Rukma continued the tale.)

'We should have a wedding night.' I was looking at you directly.

'What!' you were shocked.

'It is high time we had a wedding night, we have been married for more than 2 weeks and yesterday we were literally on top of each other.' I explained the logic.

'And that justifies....us becoming......' you were still in a shock.

'Anyway do you have any experience in....performing the activities needed for you know....wedding night.' I was being loud and clear.

'Yes I have had a couple of girlfriends in Europe and I have been intimate with them, I will be honest on this count.' You said crossing your arms on your chest.

'Good, as long as you do not cheat me in this marriage. I will not allow you to look at other women.' I was looking your eyes.

'Sure, as long as this marriage lasts, I will remain loyal to you.' You promised.

(Vit thought : I agree even now, believe me I have not been able to look at anyone other than you!)

'Hmm...(I was bit rattled)....thanks and I also commit to you.....importantly you know what to do...I am, however a novice..' I stammered my thoughts.

(Vit thought : Yes I know and sorry to drag you here and putting these intimate conversations in legal domain, if not public...I hoped there was some other way to do it....)

'This marriage is not real....and I refuse to ...to be intimate with you...I do not think we should be physically close.' You said.

(Vit thought : Damn, damn, I said a No!)
