OK, so this is my first time publishing anything because I finally got the courage to post this up. Keep in mind that this is the first book that I've actually been able to think all the way through. Usually I just write a few chapters of a book then I run out of ideas so I stop and never go back to it. I'm going to shut up now because now I'm just rambling. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

PROLOGUE
I was 14 and still running when I met my mate. Few people had ever heard of me at this point. Samantha Bloodrose was a forgotten name. Everyone thought I was dead after the Darkness and demons killed my pack 4 years earlier. No one but my pack knew who I was to be when I grew up. My pack all died during that attack so I could live.
The Darkness is made up of many different creatures such as vampires, rogue werewolves, and fae. It didn't matter what they were it only mattered that they had cruel souls and cruel intentions. They wanted to take over everything and make humans pay for 'making' them hide in the shadows for centuries.
I'm Sam and I've been on the run from the Darkness since I was 10. I had run across my mate when I was 14 but had to keep running so I could learn to use my gifts in the future. If I stayed I would have been putting his father's pack at risk. Even with it being the largest and strongest pack they would be no match for the Darkness that wanted to destroy me.
So I left.
