DYLAN'S POV
A meeting with the Elders? Really? She couldn't be serious. The Elders were the most respected wolves in our society and one doesn't just demand a meeting with them. Anyone they give their time of day to would feel lucky. No one can challenge their power in any way.
"Sam, you can't be serious. The Elders aren't just another group of wolves. They are the most powerful wolves in our society. How do you expect me to get them to come here anyway? They are always busy and their days are always planned out."
She turned away from me looking out into the forest. She seemed to be debating on what she would say.
"Tell them this is urgent and it has to do with the Bloodrose pack."
The Bloodrose pack? I faintly recall hearing that name somewhere, but I'm not sure where because there was no such pack in the world.
"Bloodro-"
"Just, please. This needs to be done now, you will hear along with the Elders." she said before I could finish my question.
By the look on her face I knew she was dead serious and that this was important.
"Ok. I'm going to make the call now. Um...."
"I'm going to go check on your sister. Come get me when they get here."
She was so confident that they were going to come. What did the Elders know of this Bloodrose pack? How come I hadn't heard of it before other than maybe once?
I watched her as she made her way confidently and calmly into the house and up to my sister's room.
My mate. My Sam. She was crazy if she really thought this would work. I knew however that I would do anything for her so I went to my office to phone the Elders.
The Elders consisted of 5 past Alphas that were strong and respected and known for great things. Although they were all seen as equals Alpha Jasper was the one that seemed to be the most in charge. Even though he was in charge he was probably the nicest out of all of them. The other 4 Alphas all act as if they have a stick up their ass.
Someone answered on the other end as the last ring was about to end.
"What do you want? We are very busy here you know." Of course, Alpha Colten answered. Colten was the Alpha that lived most in the past where the Alphas had any right and were more on the barbaric side.
"This is Alpha Dylan Evergreen and my mate is requesting an audience with the 5 Elders here right now." This was a big leap. This Alpha could see my words as disrespectful and resent my pack and never offer help.
"And who does your mate think she is that she can demand a meeting with us? I know you said request, but we both know that that was not truthful. What does your mate think is so important that we would take time out of our schedules at such short notice?" His voice was bitter when he spoke of my mate and I found myself having to bite back a growl.
"She told me to tell you that it was about the Bloodrose pack."
I heard Colten gasp before the line went completely silent. So this Bloodrose pack meant something to the Elders, it was obvious by the reaction that this was nothing close to what he was expecting to hear.
"The other Elders and I will be there in about an hour. For yours and your mate's sake she better not be lying." And with that the line went dead.
I decided that I would let Sam have time with my sister while I tried to reason things out in my head.

SAM'S POV
I was sitting on Skylar's bed with her curled up into my side while I played with her brown locks. When I came up here she was just looking out the window, not moving or saying a word. She was pretty shaken up from what had happened so I carried her over to her bed and sang softly to her. She didn't want me to leave because she said she only felt safe when I was watching over her.
So that's how I ended up alone with my thoughts. I was planning on talking to Sky some more about my trip and to see how she was while I was away this time. I knew it was hard for her to watch me leave every time because it meant that she would go back to being the lonely girl who didn't have any real friends. She once told me that one of the other girls only befriended her because her older sister wanted to get close to Dylan. When Dylan turned the older sister down Skylar lost her 'friend'.
I didn't know how this beautiful little girl didn't have any friends. She was the sweetest person I had ever met and I'm surprised that being related to the Alpha didn't get her respect. If anything it seemed to bring resentment towards her because they all thought she was stuck up and got whatever she wanted.
If I was staying I was going to make sure Sky was happy and never felt alone again. She didn't deserve what those girls did to her. I was kind of upset at the fact that her brother hadn't noticed anything wrong. Some brother he is.
I directed my attention downstairs to where I could hear 5 men outside and the door opening. I decided that I wouldn't wait for Dylan to come notify me, I liked making an entrance anyway.
I untangled Sky from my side and tucked the covers around her and made my way down the stairs. I heard voices talking so like the nosy person I am, I eavesdropped.
"Where is this mate of yours. If she is pulling our tails she will be sentenced to death immediately. This is not a topic to joke about." This was Alpha Colten. Oh how I wanted to shove my foot up his ass for thinking I would joke about this.
I had been keeping tabs on the Elders as well so I knew who was who even just by their voice.
I decided to make my presence known.
"I know it's not. And I don't like being doubted, so if you will, just trust me. Follow me, this needs to be discussed somewhere that no one will over hear." I turned knowing that they would follow if not to listen then to yell at me about how I talked to them.
I heard a growl from 4 of the Alphas. Alpha Colten, Mako, Zuko, and Richard were the ones who dared growl at me. I whipped around faster than anyone thought possible and gave them a louder growl of my own. They all seemed taken aback at how I reacted.
"Do. Not. Growl. At. Me." My voice was a scary calm that would make any non Alpha wet themselves. With that I turned around and continued walking. Before I turned I saw their eyes turn cold and hard.
The 4 Elders all had the same features really. Dark brown to black hair with grays here and there where the dye missed. They all had brown eyes as well, even Alpha Jasper had the dull brown eyes. Although Jasper's didn't turn hard and cold when I growled, he looked merely amused.
I wondered if Jasper remembered me from when I was 5. He had been a close friend of my father's and had visited often before he was put in the 5 Elders when I was 6. He was always kind and I would always make fun of his red curly hair. I smiled slightly just thinking about it.
We had arrived in the meeting room where I waited by the door while they all came in.
"Sit." My one word command seemed to make Colten's eyes turn darker and slightly red. Yet he still obeyed me as Jasper pulled him along.
"Do you want...." It was Dylan who stopped next to me. My only answer was a shake of my head and a nod towards the seats.
When everyone was in there seats I turned to lock the doors. With one of my abilities I placed my foot on the ground so I could check to see where everybody was in the building only to find that no one was in here.
The Elders had felt power stirring in the room and looked around trying to find the source.
I cleared my throat, bringing all attention back to me. I decided to start with a question that bugged me all these years.
"How come you all never told anybody what really happened to the Bloodrose pack?"
