Piña looks around and finds herself in an open field.
The wind was blowing gently, and the smell of grass was like the purest ease she strangely felt.
Piña: "Where... am I? This isn't Italica..."
She looked around her, only knee-high grass blades littered the flat land.
She was alone, but she felt free, somehow.
She takes a deep breath and decides to walk.
She did not know what was going on, but she felt compelled to relax for the time being.
She takes a leisurely walk, thinking of nothing, feeling nothing but ease.
Soon, in the distance, she makes out three gold figures, with their helmets off.
Like seeing faces in a dream, she could not make them out. Though, she did have some immediate speculations.
Piña: "Is that... them?"
As she takes another step, the previously lush plains and the sunny sky suddenly turn dark and gloomy. Her nose was touched by the smell of blood and smoke. She covers her mouth and nose with both hands.
Piña: "Huh-!... What is this...?"
She muttered, confused and frightened, now seeing corpses scattered of both imperial citizens and the green men.
"I did not know... I would feel a chill... on my skin the second time...", one of the golden men spoke, weakly.
Piña saw one gold man leaned against a tall boulder, being tended to by another golden man casting a continuous light upon him.
"I am working, brother. You shall endure.", the one casting a constant healing beam on him spoke, trying not to sound desperate or weak. His armor cracked and was heavily damaged.
"Rest, brother. Not enough... left of me... to save the second time..."
Upon closer inspection, Piña saw that the injured golden man had a missing arm and two legs.
Piña: "O-Oh my-"
She prevented herself from vomiting at the gory sight.
Piña heard explosions in the distance. As she looked over to that distance, she could see giant metal machines rolling their abhorrent and strange wheels on the ground blasting from their nozzles explosion magic upon another golden man, fighting to the death, his armor chipping and cracking at each explosion that hit him.
It was a sort of Iron Elephant.
The golden man was struggling.
As Piña could do nothing but watch, she saw that the magic of the healer golden man flicker and weaken. He takes a fragile breath.
"Brother...", he spoke, his despair leaking through his voice.
The injured one's condition was not getting any better.
"I would- have liked... to see her face... one... last... time..."
He spoke his last breath as the glowing eyes of his helmet faded to a grim black.
The healer got up, clenching his fist.
"She's been dead for a long time, brother..."
But soon released them.
He sat next to the legless, lifeless corpse of his comrade and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"No weakness...", he spoke as his despair finally broke through. He started weeping.
