Touya was laying down with his back on the bed, his arms spread open, and his mind filled with worrying thoughts. He was alone in his room. He wanted to be alone so he could think.
Touya: "They'll find me amusing for a while..., but they'll eventually hate me."
He muttered under his breath. He wasn't the type of person to believe in that sort of saying, but for some reason, it just stuck to him.
Whatever the plague doctor, Shini, said, it stuck to him like glue, like intrusive thoughts he couldn't get out of his head.
Touya: "They want to see a hero fail, die trying... That's... just not right."
He turned his whole body to his left, having a worried look on his face as he positions himself in the tiger-knee sleeping position.
Touya wasn't the type of person to be so deep into negativity and negative thoughts, just like how he forgave God for accidentally killing him and stripping him away from the family he had in his original world. He wasn't one to harbor ill will because it's not right.
Touya: "'... When you think about it,... yeah, it makes sense. I'm here where I am because of God and the powers he gave me. I didn't work hard for any of my skills. If I got reincarnated without my powers, I would likely have never been here...' "
He thought to himself, although not as gloomy as most people would normally think.
Touya: "'Yumina, Linze, Yae, Elze... Would we still end up with each other even without my powers?' "
Kohaku, with a few friends, appeared near him. The little white cat sat on the bed while the turtle-snake combo floated nearby.
Sango: "My master, I have heard the news."
The feminine voice of Sango came out with alarm and concern.
Kokuyou: "We are very sorry...! We could not protect you and your companions in your time of need."
He spoke with shame.
Touya saw them and took his time to take the sitting position on his bed.
Kohaku: "The master would likely say that what is done is done and that you two should not be disheartened by one failure."
Touya looked at Kohaku with open eyes and an open mouth, before both eyes and mouth closed.
Touya: "'I would not have Kohaku, Sango, or even Kokuyou if I didn't have my powers.' "
He then spoke to them with a bittersweet smile.
Touya: "It's okay, you guys. To be honest, I should have been more careful around strangers."
The way he spoke was to try and reassure them.
Kokuyou: "I will refuse your forgiveness and rebuke with something special from us."
The snake spoke and the turtle nodded, agreeing.
A moment after, Touya's body glowed a bright green glow, starting from the center of his chest and rippling across his body like a drop of water hitting a pond.
The boy looked at his own chest and body.
Sango: "Now, Touya, as long as we are near you and in your presence, this magic barrier will repel all types of physical attacks completely and all types of magical attacks with respect to your magical power."
Kohaku nods in affirmation.
Kohaku: "So the next time that bird freak shows up, we'll be sure to give him a piece of our mind. Though I might have been defeated once, if we work and coordinate, we will surely win."
