The four teens sat in the comfort of Sunny's apartment, just enjoying each other's company during their first hangout since Sunny had moved. Unfortunately, Hero had gone back to college and couldn't make it to make a full group, but the four kids understood that the oldest was hard at work and simply took it as an opportunity for a (sort of) date. They weren't doing much, sure, but it was kind of hard to come up with a compromise with all four of their very different personalities and interests, so they were happy to relax at home in each others' presence.

Currently, there were Sunny and Kel on the floor in front of the tv playing a co-op game on one of Sunny's new consoles, while Basil and Aubrey occupied the couch, the former gently brushing out the latter's long hot pink hair with practiced skill. The room was filled with idle chatter between the four, lulls in the conversations often filled with video game commentary from Kel as Sunny carried them both through the levels of their game with the same mastery as he had when they were younger.

"And... there, I'm done! How do you like it, Aubrey?" Basil asked as he finished braiding Aubrey's hair, guiding her to the bathroom briefly to look in the mirror.

"Looks good, thanks Base!" The pink-haired girl replied, running her hand down her newly styled hair. Aside from the obvious dye job she'd had a few years ago, along with her showers, nothing much had been done to care for her hair over the past four years. Aubrey didn't have the motivation to brush it more often than not, so Basil had taken it upon himself to assume the role he always had when they were little and restore his girlfriend's hair to the silky smooth state he'd known and loved back then.

"I'm glad you think so! I missed doing that, haha." Basil chuckled, exiting the bathroom with Aubrey in tow, and making his way back to the couch.

Aubrey yawned and stretched before looking around the apartment.

"You guys know what time it is?" She asked, looking to see if she could find a clock anywhere.

"Time to get a watch," Kel responded, not looking up from the screen. He immediately felt Aubrey's glare on his back and smiled smugly to himself.

"Kidding, it's uhh... 11:49, why?" Kel replied, quickly looking away from the tv for a few seconds to glance at his watch.

"Just wanted to check. It's almost lunch, then, is anyone hungry?" The ex-delinquent questioned, glancing between the three boys.

"Yeah, I'm starving!" Kel exclaimed, putting his controller down and stretching once he and Sunny had completed their current level.

"You always are, Kel." Basil shot back, though there was no malice in his words as he smiled at the taller boy with amusement. "Though I'm getting a little hungry too," He finished.

"What about you, Sunny? Getting hungry?" Kel asked, elbowing the quiet boy gently in the arm.

Sunny never talked much, he'd been trying to as of late, seeing as phone communication was one of the only ways that he could keep in contact with his partners (and Hero), but even if he'd tried to open his mouth to respond, he wouldn't have had time to before a small, barely audible growl was heard from his stomach.
