"Of course not. Ngayon nga lang ako nakarating ng Charteris."

Rohan frowned and stood up straight. "Somewhere else then?"

"Impossible. I don't travel."

"I feel like I've seen you before... or atleast heard your voice. Weird."

I nervously laughed and opened the door while he's still thinking deeply.

Lumabas na ako ng kwarto at ganun na rin siya. He handed me his power bank and I immediately charged my phone.

"Let's use the elevator. I'm too tired to walk," Rohan suggested.

I nodded. Ayoko na rin gamitin ang hagdanan. Nakakapagod!

Thankfully, hindi gaano kahaba ang pila kumpara kanina. Pagpasok sa loob, nagtaka ako nang pinatayo niya ako sa corner bago siya humarang sa harapan ko. The back of his broad shoulders are facing mine. It looks like he's just standing there but then I realized, he's only trying to protect me from all the guys inside this elevator. Panay lalake kasi ang kasama namin.

It felt strange until we reached the first floor. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit nagba-blush ako.

"Rohan pakilala mo naman kami sa kaibigan mo."

"Hi miss, ang ganda mo."

"Single ka ba?"

Naunang lumabas ng elevator si Rohan kaya likod niya ang nakikita ko. I don't know what happened but the boys who are trying to talk to me suddenly stopped and walked away.

Paglingon naman niya sa akin ay maano na ang mukha niya.

"I think our friends are already outside. Alice doesn't really stay here in the lobby."

"Oh okay."

Lumabas na kaming dalawa at hinanap ang mga kaibigan namin.

"That was so annoying! I can't believe we wasted our time over some stupid speeches no one even listened to! Ugh!" Alice grabbed her hair and acted as if she's going crazy. Inakbayan naman siya ni Adrian at tatawa-tawang hinalikan ang buhok nito.

I just smiled and didn't say a word. I listened to everyone who spoke on stage and contrary to what Alice said, I think the program's really informative. They talked about this year's upcoming plans.

"You seem to enjoy it," Rohan told me in a low voice.

"I did! Nae-excite na tuloy ako sa mga naikwento nilang events."

Rohan had both his hands inside the pockets of his jeans. "Talaga palang nakinig ka? Cool."

"Ikaw ba hindi?" Pinagitnaan ako nila Faye at Alice kanina sa upuan at dahil sobrang daming tao ay hindi ko na naisip pang tingnan siya. I thought he and Erik listened since they are both quiet all through out the orientation.

"I did but I've never met a girl who does."

Sinanay ako ng professor ko na makinig sa mga speech ng iba't-ibang tao. I needed to get used to those even if it takes hours to get it done. Kasi balang araw, hindi naman pwedeng aantok antok ako tuwing may pupuntahan akong mga programa. I will be representing the whole Costa Vira and it would look bad and disrespectful if I ever showed a little amount of disinterest.
