Lovers
For the past few days, my life was full of joy. Sobrang saya ko sa tuwing nakikita at nakakausap ko si Rohan. Ang dami tuloy nagsasabing ang blooming ko daw lately.
"I heard there are new arrivals," sambit ni Alice habang nagkukulot ng buhok. It's Friday today and she's planning on going to the plaza later to buy some clothes and shoes.
"Should we go?" nakangising tanong ni Faye sa akin. Kakasahod niya lang kaya naman excited siyang gumastos ngayong araw.
"I'm actually not in the mood for shopping. Gusto ko lang magaral ngayon."
"Really, Lia? Weekend bukas pero pagaaral pa rin nasa isip mo?" Nagkibit balikat lang ako kaya sumimangot siya. "I guess I can't go then..."
"You can go if you want to. After our practice, dadaan lang ako saglit sa library pagkatapos babalik na agad ako dito sa dorm. Buy me dinner na lang please?"
She pouted as she hesitated. "I don't know. Parang palagi na lang kitang iniiwang magisa since last week..."
"Dito lang naman ako sa loob ng campus. It's not like something bad will happen to me here." Besides, magkikita kasi kami ni Rohan sa library kaya may makakasama naman ako.
"Okay. Sure ka bang ayos lang talaga na sumama ako kila Alice?"
"Oo naman! Have fun!"

"And That's it for today! See you all next week!" sigaw ng stage director namin. Nagsitayuan na kami at naglakad palabas ng auditorium.
Nilingon ko si Rohan. He was just a few feet away from me. Kumindat siya nang makasiguradong walang ibang nakatingin sa amin. I silently giggled and hugged my friends to say goodbye to them before I went to the library.
Rohan will stay for a few minutes with our friends so no one will suspect that he'll follow me. Habang hinihintay siya ay naglibot libot muna ako dito at tumingin ng ilang mga libro.
I stopped at the Royal Books aisle. Learning about the other kingdoms amazes me. Pare-pareho kami nang ginagampanan sa mga lugar na kinasasakupan namin ngunit magkakaiba sa mga batas at tradisyon.
I picked up one book and found an empty area on the second floor.
Tahimik ko lang binasa ang tungkol sa Montgomery Hills Royal family nang bigla na lang may humalik sa pisngi ko. I smiled as Rohan took a seat beside me.
"I didn't know you were actually going to read," he chuckled.
"Akala ko matagal ka pa kasi."
"What's that?" Pinakita ko ang title ng libro at napangiti siya. "My country."
"I love this book. I have read it a hundred of times but still, I never grew tired of it."
"Why?" he asked, tucking some hair behind my ear.
"It says a lot about the whole Mojares clan—their achievements and everything they did for the country." Kapag pwede na 'kong makipagkita sa ibang mga Royal families, sisiguraduhin kong isa ang Montgomery Hills sa pupuntan ko.
