Confused
Out of nowhere, my Dad's personal secretary called Faye to inform her that the security team will be escorting us back to the palace this weekend. Nagulat nga kaming dalawa dahil akala namin nakarating na sa kanila ang tungkol sa nangyari sa rooftop. But to my surprise, they said it's for my Dad's birthday. I totally forgot about it.
"So what do you guys think I should buy for my Dad?" I usually order online for gifts but this year, I wanted to give him something special. Gusto ko rin kasi talagang magpasalamat na pinayagan niya akong magaral dito.
"A new crown?" biro ni Faye habang nagba-blush on siya.
"Or a grandson hahahahaha!" hagikgik ni Alice.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my bag. "Hay nako, mauna na nga ako sa inyo. Ang babagal niyo."
"Huy, wait lang!" Faye panicked.
"HIntayin ko na lang kayo sa lobby."
Bago pa siya makapagsalita ay lumabas na ako. While I made my way to the elevator, I read my reviewer. Tapos sumandal ako sa gilid at tahimik na nagbasa.
"Paano kita matatalo niyan kung ganito palang kaaga, nagaaral ka na?"
Napatingin ako sa katabi ko at nagulat nang makita si Dan. He's smiling at me, looking so fresh in his blue polo shirt.
"Hey, good morning."
"Morning."
My eyes couldn't help but look at the guy beside Dan. It's Rohan. Nakatingin kasi siya sa akin ngunit ngumiti lang siya at tumingin na sa phone niya.
"You're alone today," Dan pointed out. Pinauna niya ko sa paglabas namin sa ground floor.
"Nagaayos pa sila Alice. I told them I'll wait here."
"Samahan na kita. I'm also waiting for my friends."
Tumango lang ako at hinayaan siyang tumabi sa akin sa sofa.
Pagkaupo namin ay tumingin ako kay Rohan. He's still looking at me. And then he suddenly walked towards us and stood in front of me.
"You still have the key right?"
I raised an eyebrow. "What key?"
"The prize from the phobia game." 'Yung susi sa garden?
"Oh. Yeah. I think it's here's in my bag. Why?"
"I lost mine. Can I borrow it? Papa-duplicate ko lang."
Tumango ako at binuksan ang bag ko. "Sure, wait lang---"
"Samahan mo na lang ako mamaya para maibalik ko rin kaagad. Baka mawala ko rin 'yang iyo," pagtawa niya. "Maybe after class hours?"
"A-ahh. Sige. Why not?" Mawawalain pala ng gamit ang isang ito.
"Great. See you later."
