Bad Influence
Weeks passed by quickly. My wound's all healed now and I've learned how to clean our dorm room. Tinuruan ako nila Faye at Alice kung paano magwalis at magpunas ng mga aparador, upuan at study table. They also taught me how to cook, a little. We're not allowed to fry anything but we were able to cook champorado using the rice cooker. Nakaka-amaze nga na pwede pala iyon.
Faye was against it at first. Ayaw niyang kumain ako ng nilutong champorado ni Alice dahil 'against the rules' daw iyon pero wala namang makakaalam kung hindi niya ire-report. In the end, napapayag ko siya. I learned that with a little push on Faye, she'd be down for it.
"Please be more careful," biro ni Faye sa akin nang muntikan ko na mabitawan ang tumbler na hawak hawak ko. Nabangga kasi nung isang estudyante ang siko ko pagdaan niya sa gilid ko dito sa hallway.
"We don't want another accident," she reminded me.
The palace was informed about what happened during science lab. Tumawag kaagad si Kuya habang si Papa naman ay gusto na agad akong ibalik sa kaharian. I had to argue with them and convince them that everything's fine. Hindi sila naniwala nung una kaya nagpadala pa talaga sila ng doctor na tumingin sa sugat ko. When they heard it's not a deep cut and I won't be needing stitches, that's the only time they relaxed.
Thankfully hindi nabuko na hindi ko kasama si Faye nung nangyari iyon. Honestly, two hours a day without her feels good. No one's telling me what to do. I mean, I love her but sometimes she acts like my parent instead of just being my bestfriend. She worries too much probably because it's her job to protect me.
"Kumusta ang exams?" tanong ni Alice sa amin habang nagaayos kami sa CR. Faye's braiding my hair while I'm putting some lipgloss.
"I aced it," proud na sambit ko. Everything's so easy. I think I'll get perfect scores.
"Ugh, buti ka pa!" Alice groaned. "You know what I need? Kailangan kong magtanggal ng stress."
"And how will you do that?"
"Sumama na lang kayo." She suddenly grabbed our wrists and pulled us out of the comfort room towards the stairs.
"Saan tayo pupunta?" Faye asked.
"The rooftop," Alice smirked. "I'll text the boys to join us. Come on, it'll be fun!"
Tumawa na lang ako at hinayaan siyang hilahin kami papunta sa taas. When we reached the rooftop, Alice immediately locked the door.
"Don't tell anyone about this place. I don't want them to figure out where we're hanging out. Baka mamaya gumaya pa sila lalo na nung mga babaeng naghahabol kay Rohan."
I nodded and looked around. Mukhang ginawang tambakan na ang lugar na ito dahil sa gilid ay may mga wooden chairs na kalat kalat.
"In here!" Alice shouted. Sinundan namin siya papunta doon sa gilid.
"Whoah," Faye mumbled. Inside the locker are clean square pillows which Alice threw to us. I laughed as I catch one before sitting on the long chair. May bilog na table pa sa gitna. Looks like this is really their place.
"Teka, tawagan ko na si Adrian." Humiga siya sa katapat naming long chair at kinausap na ang boyfriend niya. Tumayo naman ako at tiningnan ang gilid. I could see the soccer field from here. Sumilip ako ng kaunti at pinagmasdan ang mga estudyanteng naglalakad.
