"Oh my gosh." I froze at the amount of people in front of me right now. Sobrang daming mga estudyante ang nakakalat sa buong campus na para bang nasa isang malaking pagsasalo kaming lahat.
"Faye, are you sure it's okay for me to be here?" I started chewing my lower lip---a thing that I do when I'm nervous.
"You'll be fine!" natatawang sambit niya bago niya pinababa ang mga gamit namin.
"Oh," she suddenly handed me my backpack.
I raised an eyebrow at her and she rolled her eyes. "I may be working for you but it's not on my job description to be your maid. In here, you won't have servants. You need to do things on your own." Inabot niya na sa akin ang backpack ko, isang sling bag, at dalawang luggages.
My jaw dropped. "Wait, pagbubuhatin mo ako ng mga ito?"
"It's not my fault na napakadami mong binitbit na gamit, your royal highness---" She immediately stopped herself and looked around to see if someone heard us.
"Atleast help me!" I complained. I can't carry all of these!
"As you can see, puno na rin ang mga kamay ko." She has her own luggage and two huge bags.
I groaned loudly before looking at my driver but he just smiled and drove away.
I CAN'T BELIEVE HE JUST LEFT ME!
"Faye!"
"You wanted a normal life, right? Well, here it is."
I frowned and looked at all my things. "Pwede bang iwanan ko muna 'yong ilan dito? I'll come back for it."
"Pwede naman kung gusto mong mawala mga gamit mo," she chuckled.
Magmamaktol pa sana ako dahil naii-stress na agad ako nang may lumapit sa aming lalake.
"Hi. Do you need help?" I was stunned to talk to a stranger without wearing a mask. Ito ang pinakaunang beses na may kumausap sa akin na hindi ko kilala.
He had a dark curly hair and a warm smile on his full lips. He's taller than me, probably 5'9 ang height sa tantsa ko. Nakasuot lang siya ng black sweater.
"Uhmmm yes please," pormal na sagot ko. I'm not even sure if he heard me. Medyo mahina ang boses ko dahil nahihiya ako.
"Okay. Ito ba?" Tumango ako at iniabot sa kanya ang backpack, bag at isang luggage ko. I glanced at Faye and she's smiling like an idiot.
"Ikaw? Kailangan mong tulong?" tanong niya kay Faye.
"Nah. I'm good. Oo nga pala, we're staying at St. Louis dormitory building."
"Great. I'm staying there too. I can lead the way," Naglakad na siya kaya sinundan na namin siya. While we're walking, I kept looking around. A lot of them already have their group of friends but there are also like me and Faye who are transferees.
It feels surreal, like I'm inside a movie right now.
"What do you mean you're staying there too? Hindi ba for girls lang ang building na 'yon?" I heard Faye asked the guy.
"Nope. First and second floors are for the girls. Third and fourth are for the boys."
"Oh. Okay."
