Audition
Cordelia's POV
"Everything alright?"
I snapped back to reality when Dan leaned into me. Ngumiti ako at tumango.
"Just nervous," I replied. Sa totoo lang, hindi naman ako gaano kinakabahan sa audition na ito. Mas kinakabahan pa nga ako sa pagkikita namin ni Castiel. Kanina pa nanlalamig ang mga kamay ko.
My brother said there's no date yet but I could feel that it'll happen within a few days or weeks.
"Have you memorized your lines?" Dan asked me. Mayroong binigay na script para sa lahat nang mago-audition. Isang eksena lang iyon kaya dapat ibigay talaga namin ang best namin kung gusto naming matanggap.
I just nodded and drank half of the water bottle I had in hand.
"Do you want to practice with me?"
"Hindi na. I'm good."
Dan looks like he still wanted to say something but I'm just not in the mood to talk. I closed my eyes and pretended to take a nap. After a few seconds, I heard him chuckle.
"Good afternoon students of Charteris University and welcome to our drama club! I have here the list of all auditionees, please come up on stage once your name is called. Let's start!"
Umayos na ako ng upo at tumingin sa buong auditorium. Medyo marami rami rin ang nanunuod ngayon. I looked down and relaxed myself.
Tama lang na sumali ka sa mga ganitong activity, Cordelia. In the future, you'll face thousands of people. Wala pa sa sampung porsyento sa mga taong nandirito.
Dan was called first so Faye and I clapped our hands to cheer on him. Mukha naman siyang hindi kinakabahan. A lot of girls were also shouting for his name. He smiled at me before he became serious.
I was shocked when he started acting. It was like he's a different person on stage. Bigay todo siya sa bawat bigkas ng salita. In the end, everyone was too amazed to even say a word. Pagbaba niya ay tsaka lang nagpalakpakan ang mga tao.
"Wow," Faye muttered. "Iba ka dude! Ang galing mo!"
"Uy salamat!" natatawang sambit niya.
He sat again beside me. "Ayos lang ba?"
"No wonder you were the lead role in last year's play. May talent ka pala talaga sa pag-acting."
I should have known he could act since he was already too good during our video project in Foreign Language.
Magsasalita pa sana ulit ako nang marinig ko ang pangalan ni Rohan. I looked on stage and got wide eyed when I saw him walking to the center. Ang ingay ng mga tao, napakadaming humihiyaw at tuwangtuwa na mago-audition siya.
You've got to be kidding me.
"Okay Rohan, you can start!" The woman said.
