Rain

Ship: Spicynoodles (Mk x Red son)

Context: The two are out on a mission, Red son was looking for something to make the Bull clones stronger, and Mk was doing an errand for Monkey king. A rain storm starts and they are forced to spend the night together in a cave.

Mk was out doing an errand for the Monkey king to his dismay. But unfortunately whilst he was out, it had started raining. His hair was flopped down, his bandana being the only thing to keep it out of his face.

He ran through the forest in search of a place to stay, until the rain had passed. He was out of breath, but didn't want to stop moving - despite him being cold.

The rain had almost blurred his vision, but though the haze- he spotted a cave. He let out a gasp of relief and ran for it. He placed his hands on his knees once he reached the cave, and tried to catch his breath. He shook his head like a dog that had just gotten out of a pool.

He then heard something from deeper inside of the cave, he looked up and squinted to see if something was there. Suddenly, a fire ball got launched in his direction. He quickly grabbed the Monkey kings staff to deflect it, and he managed to do it just in time.

"Hey! What did you do that for?!" He growled, just then he heard a familiar chuckle. Out of the shadows came the one and only... Red son. "Oh come on!" Mk grumbles, "Hey Noodle boy~" Red taunted. "What?" Mk said in a low tone.

"You are quite far from home, aren't you?"

"Well, so are you" Mk retorted "I'm on a mission to find something to make my Bull clones stronger! Then I'll finally beat you!" Red chuckled, "I'm on a mission for the Monkey king" Mk sneers. "I am not staying here with you" Mk turns to exit the cave when- a loud boom sound went off, signalling thunder.

The sound made Mk jump, he wasn't fond of thunder. "Pff- don't tell me that the Monkie kid, the successor of the Monkey king... is scared of thunder" Red laughed. Mk rolled his eyes.

He decided to sit down against the cave wall, as he was not going to run through a thunder storm. "I won't bother you, as long as you don't bother me, deal?" He mumbled, "Of course, Noodle brain" Mk rolled his eyes at the petty nick names.

An hour or so had past and the cold had finally caught up to Mk. He had taken his jacket off a few minutes of being in the cave, and placed it beside him in hopes of it drying off. He looked over at Red son who seemed to be fine.. makes sense, he's a demon with fire capabilities. So he could probably heat up his body.

Red brought up his head which made Mk look away. Mk did not want to be caught staring.

He shivered, which had gotten the attention of Red son "Oi, noodle boy, you okay?"  He asked "Y-yep! I'm- I'm fine..!" He gripped his arms so he was hugging himself. God, he was a terrible lier.

Red son sighed, as he got up. He walked towards Mk, "What are you-?" Mk stops once Red placed his jacket on him. It was surprisingly warm. "You humans are terrible at lying" Red comments, "Your body language indicated you were cold"

Mk was hesitant to say anything but decided he should thank Red for his... nice action. "Thank you.." he smiles which causes the fire demon to blush slightly.

"W-what ever noodle boy" he huffed.

The two sat in silence again. In this time Mk managed to fall asleep, his soft snores echoed through the cave. Red son though this was... endearing. He shook his head, Now is not the time to fall for your enemy! He scolded himself.

He then saw Mk shiver, again. He was still cold. Red son tried to ignore it.. but ultimately failed. He got up once again and walked toward Mk.

He sat down and moved closer all while heating up his body. Almost immediately Mk clings onto Red. Red's blush doubled, he felt like he could give of enough heat this way. Soon he relaxed and felt.. nice.

Red never really got this much affection... so it was nice. He smiled. Red wrapped a arm around the sleeping Mk and pulled him closer. Damn it... I've definitely fell for him...Red sighs.

He finally lets his eyes close, and soon after he falls asleep.

Light from the sun filtered through the cave, and a well rested Mk started to stir. He opened his eyes, but quickly closed them once they made contact with the bright light. He then opened them again and noticed he was on something.. it was soft. It wasn't the cave wall but... he looked up and saw Red son.

It took him a second to process it. His face grew Red with blush half of it being embarrassment, RED SON?! What the-!? He screamed internally. He tried to move but soon came to realise, Red had his arm around him.

This made him blush even more, he was cuddling- his enemy?! All of his moving had awoken Red. "Stop moving Noodle boy..." he mumbled rubbing his eye, he locked eyes with Mk.

His hair sparked up with embarrassment, "S-sorry, Noodle boy!" He apologised and quickly moved which made Mk drop to the floor with a thud. "Ouch..." Mk groaned, "Did you have to drop me?" He mumbled.

"I- I apologise Noodle boy" Red looked away, "Why were you even there?" Mk asked sitting up. "You- you seemed cold last night.. so I-I thought I'd offer you some w-warmth"

Mk chuckled slightly, "W-WHATS SO FUNNY?!" Red's hair flared up. "Sorry, sorry- just never thought you'd be that nice" Reds face went red, with anger and blush. "S-shut it!" He hissed.

"I will blow your face off!" Red threatened.

He then looked at the cave entrance, "Well, it's stoped raining. Guess we can leave now" Red sighs in relief. Mk quickly gets up, "Wait! Red I want to give you a parting gift" Mk smirks. He runs up to Red and hands him his jacket, "Here-" once Red goes to grab his jacket, Mk grabs his arm and pulls him into a kiss.

Mk separates a minute after and smiles, "Bye Red~!" He runs out of the cave leaving a stunned Red alone. Soon Red snaps out his trance and growls, "Noodle boy!" He yells out but Mk is already gone.

His face is still Red, he mumbles before walking home. He could get something to make the bull clones stronger another time.
