amaya was always first to wake up, it was rare that the brunette was ever up before the blond. but today she was. her eyes fluttered open and she tilted her head up to look at the woman that was comfortingly wrapped around her. she pressed a kiss to the blonds chin before softly rubbing the sleep from her eyes. she gently pulled the arms from around her, blue eyes immediately opening and looking down at her.
"where are you going." she whined, holding onto the brown eyed girl tighter.
"i have to pee.. i'm coming right back." amaya squeezed a bit harder, pressing a kiss to her head.
"okay." she muttered. the tight grip was removed from selene's body and she stood, stretching her back before walking to the bathroom. she did her business and returned back to the bed, amaya opening her arms for the brunette.
"hi pretty baby." she cooed, pressing a kiss to selenes forehead. they stared deeply into each other's eyes, the sound of rain pounding against the windows deepening their comfort.
"i'm gonna start some tea.. i'll be back okay?" selene said while trying to wiggle free from amaya's grasp.
"honey and lemon" the brunette smiled.
"i know." she watched as the blond cuddled back into the blankets and tried to fall back asleep. selene giggled softly and shook her head, walking down the stairs. she flipped on the tea kettle and decided to start breakfast whilst she was downstairs. she turned on a pot and began making oatmeal. as the oatmeal simmered she got out some fruit for her own, getting out cinnamon for amayas. as she focused on not letting the oatmeal stick to the bottom of the pan she felt a arm grasp being wrapped around her.
"hi." she cooed, the blond pressing a kiss to the others shoulder.
"hi honey.. smells good." amaya muttered, slipping her hands under selenes shirt then up her sports bra. the brunette only chuckled softly, the blond was always doing this but she didn't mind as it always felt nice and comforting. selene took a few of the creamy oats onto her spoon and blew them, turning and resting the spoon against amayas mouth.
"does it need anything?" she said while turning back to the pot, stirring the oats once more before sitting the spoon in the spoon rest.
"they're just a little hard." she muttered, resting her head down against her lovers shoulder. selene poured a little more milk into the pot and stirred it in, turning to get out two tea cups and two bowls. she got out the tea bags and dropped them into the mugs then looped the string around the handles to keep them in place. she squeezed in the honey then poured the boiling water into the mug, stirring softly and turned back to the stove.
amaya let go of her lovers body and began cutting up the fruit that was set out. selene spooned the oatmeal into the bowls, turning on the sink to let hot water fill into the pot for easier cleaning. amaya put sliced apples and some cinnamon in one bowl and carefully placed strawberries and blueberries in the other, drizzling honey on top of both of them.
"you take the mugs, i'll take the bowls." selene nodded and grabbed onto the mugs and walked up the stairs, the blond following behind her. the two both got in bed and swapped, each ending up with a coffee mug and their bowl of oatmeal. they ate quietly together while watching a rerun of their favorite cartoon.
"god are you bad at anything?" amaya muttered, smooching the brunettes cheek. selene only giggled as her cheeks went red. amaya always went on and on about how good selene was at literally everything. the brunette softly leaned against her lover and spooned some more oatmeal into her mouth. after a few minutes they finished up breakfast and amaya scooped selene up, carrying her out to the balcony.
"i'll be right back, it's colder than i thought." amaya rushed back inside and grabbed a hoodie for selene to put on, helping her slip it on. they always sat outside out on the mornings for some fresh air. sometimes, if the weather was nice, they'd eat breakfast and lunch out on the balcony. their balcony looked over the city and had a clear view of the sunset or sunrise. the sound of the rain and leaves rustling was very nice and calming for the two. the two just sat together, selene eventually migrating to cuddle in amayas lap.
"you are so beautiful." the blond muttered, softly brushing the soft brown hair out of selenes face. her hand moved to tuck under the brunettes chin, gently tilting her head up and their lips connected in a kiss. selene sat her body up more and pressed their lips together harder. the blond giggled softly as she pulled away from her girlfriend, hugging her tightly instead body.
"i love you so much." the blond said while rubbing selenes back.
"i love you." she cooed. soon enough she fell asleep and amaya didn't move a muscle until the rain picked up again. she slowly stood up and carefully carried the brunette to their bed, cuddling her while pushing kisses to her soft skin.
