selene is a very clumsy girl. she was always tripping over things, having bruises atop her pale skin almost constantly. amaya was always cleaning up a cut and softly kissing bruises, but she loved it. she loved caring for her girlfriend. it was probably her favorite thing in the world.

selene sometimes forget to eat when she was busy. it wasn't purposeful, she just genuinely forgot amongst the other things she was doing throughout the day. this began causing dizzy spells. her head would pound and she stumble, which was usually when amaya realized she needed to eat.

today both girls were very busy, amaya running errands while selene stayed home to clean and get some things submitted for school. she'd been busy typing up and revising an essay that she forgot she hadn't eaten anything. amaya returned home after about three hours of being out, walking in just in time to hear a thud and soft cry. she rushed to where the noise came from to see selene collapsed on the floor.

"baby!" she said while hurrying to her side. the girl cried softly while holding her ankle, her arm bleeding from hitting something when she feel. her ankle was turning a deep red, close to purple as the blond held her close.

"did you eat?" selenes eyes were droopy and teary, her face pale.

"d-don't think so." she muttered, hugging onto amaya tightly. the green eyed girl stood and picked selene up, carrying her to the kitchen.

"here." she handed her an ice pack for her ankle then a cup of juice to boost her sugar quickly. selene drunk the juice and watched her lover making her favorite turkey sandwich. which consisted of turkey, pepper jack cheese, a little bit of mayo, red onions, lettuce and italian dressing.

"bite." the blond hummed while holding half of the sandwich in front of selenes face.

"i'm sorry." she muttered, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

"hey, don't be sorry." amaya held onto selene tightly, kissing her cheeks softly.

"but you shouldn't have to worry about me like i'm a baby... i should be able to take care of myself." amaya pulled the brunette from her shoulder and held the sandwich to her lips again.

"i know you get distracted easily, it's okay my love... i promise." she pushed a kiss to her forehead, handing her the sandwich.

"do you feel okay? can i go get a bandage for your ankle?" selene nodded softly while biting her sandwich. amaya rushed up the stairs to find an ace bandage and a bandaid, hurrying back down the stairs.

"okay, let me see your foot." she cooed, kneeling down in front of the brunette.

"please be gentle." the girl whined, lips softly pouted.

"i will baby, just keep eating okay?" she inspected the dark colored skin, gently and slowly moving her foot in a circle.

"it doesn't seem broken, probably just a sprain." she began tightly wrapping her foot with the ace bandage, making sure it was enough compression without causing more damage.

"hurts." selene said shyly, pulling her foot out of amaya grasp a bit.

"let me finish wrapping it then i'll get you some medicine, okay?" she finished wrapping up her ankle then stood, helping her lift her foot back on the counter so she could put the ice pack back on.

"good?" selene nodded softly, hugging her lover.

"thank you amaya." the blond smiled at the use of her real name, kissing the brunettes neck. she pulled away from selene and grabbed some ibuprofen from the medicine cabinet, handing the bottle to her. she then grabbed a paper towel and wet it with water, wiping the blood from her arm then placed the bandaid on it.

"i think we should go lay down." amaya hummed, holding the girl softly. selene agreed with a small nod and wrapped herself around the blond.

"wanna take your sandwich?" she asked while picking selene up off of the counter.

"no thank you, i'm full." amaya took a bite from the sand which before walking up to their room, laying the brunette in bed.

"let me get you some pillows." she said while walking to the closet, getting their extra pillows to prop under her foot.

"need anything else?" selene laughed softly, pulling the girl into her chest.

"i'm okay, thank you."

"you sure?" amaya hummed, tucking the dark hair out of selenes face.

"i promise." she smiled, kissing her cheek. over the time selene healed amaya was quick to get her anything she asked. she was there to carefully rotate her foot everyday and get her ice for her foot. she was more persistent on asking if she ate, getting up to get her something to eat if she said she didn't, even when she said she wasn't hungry.

selene was getting better at being focused on her eating, even getting protein shakes in case she was busy with school. they did everything to make sure she was eating enough and she never had a dizzy spell again.
