uh this one is like, the pov (?) of going from a toxic relationship to a healthy one. idk there's nothing triggering though.

rose and nathan hadn't been together for too long, but he did notice how careful rose was in situations. she was always quick to fix something she did and was alway apologizing. he didn't like that she'd sometimes treat herself as a slave. no matter how much he told her that she doesn't have to do all the work, she still insisted on doing it. today they were going on a date and they were on facetime, coordinating their outfits and their plans for the night. she pulled on a black slip dress, nervously walking back into the view of the camera. nathan stared at the girl with a soft smile, watching her frown and shake her head softly.

"erm, nevermind.. i'll change." she muttered, beginning to walk away.

"hey hey no, i think you look beautiful." he said softly, the small smile returning on her face before she disappeared from the camera again. she pulled the straps down and slipped on a while long sleeve, spinning around to find her doc martens. they finished getting ready and nathan started the drive to pick up rose.

he arrived and walked to her door, the red head pulling it open before he could knock. he smiled down at the girl, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissed her cheek. her hair was neatly curled, a few pieces pulled back into a small ponytail. she wore light makeup, only mascara and a bit of blush.

"you look beautiful." he said with a smile. rose let out a deep breath and turned to lock the door. nathan took roses hand and walked to his car, pulling open the door for her.

"thank you." she smiled up at the ravenette. he couldn't help but press a kiss to her lips, closing her door then rushed to get in on his side.

they decided to get dinner at their favorite restaurant. he could tell the redhead was excited to be with him and it made him smile. she clung onto his arm, softly nuzzling her head against him. they got a table and sat down, talking about anything and everything like they always did.

"one check or two?" the waitress asked while collecting up their empty dishes, rose beginning to talk but nathan beating her to it.

"one please." nathan said while reaching for his wallet. rose sunk down into her seat a bit, an embarrassed smile on her face

"i could've payed." she muttered, nathan scoffing and shaking his head.

"i've got it baby." she frowned.

"but i have to.. it's not fair." nathan grabbed onto her hand, tilting his head softly.

"now who told you that?" she didn't answer, only darting her eyes away from his. he decided to just let the topic go, leaning over the table to kiss her lips.

"ready to go?" rose nodded, sliding out of the booth and grabbed her takeout dish. (idk what they're called because my family just calls them boxes and i feel like that's just not the right term😭) nathan took the box from the girl and stacked it on top of his, reaching his hand out for rose. he pulled open her door the sat their leftovers in the backseat, walking to get in the car.

"where do you wanna go?" he cooed, resting his hand against roses thigh. she placed her hand on top of his and softly patted his hand.

"can we just watch the stars tonight?" the ravenette nodded and drove to town center. they soon arrived and found the building with roof access and parked in the parking garage. he grabbed onto her and found the elevator.

"i didn't know this was up here." she said as the elevator doors opened, taking in the scene. there was a few tables and chairs, lights being strung above their head.

"yeah, it's always nice and empty." he smiled at their hands softly as he watched the girl. she let go of his hand and walk towards the edge of the building.
