I'm back!!! I got a short one for you guys since I

1. Uploaded two parts in a single day

2. The second part (part 9) was longgggg

So to even it out I got a small part for you guys today, get ready for some cringe and angst.

Aether POV

I felt Xiao sit up, like really fast. He was breathing heavily.

"Xiao. hey.." I was hugging him, rubbing his back, my hand was on his chest. I felt his hand cover mine, he brought it to his lips. "Did you have a nightmare? Heh what a duo we are."

"Y-You aren't dying right?" he asked. I was confused, "what do you mean?" He was still breathing heavily, "You aren't going to leave me right?" I could feel his breath on my hand. I buried my head into his neck, letting out a cough with my other arm covering my mouth. "Why would I," Now I was the one trying to breathe

"want to leave you, Xiao?" I was breathing heavily while holding Xiao's hand. He looked at me and we laid back down our faces inches apart,

"In my... nightmare. You told me that you were dying and I don't know I just-" I cut him off,

"I don't plan on dying anytime soon." With that, I felt the thoughts leave, but I know they'll be back. It always comes back.

We were walking to Liyue, I could smell a storm coming. Xiao grabbed my hand. "I'll wait here for you. Be quick please, I sense a big storm." I nodded leaving Xiao at the teleporter right outside of Liyue. I was looking at all the decorations while walking to the Pharmacy, I got there and thanked the Doctor and Qiqi.

"Something still seems to be bothering you," Baizhu said. I nodded, something is bothering me, it feels like my insides are melting and I had this urge to. Well to hurt, like I needed to attack something anything.

"Here.." Qiqi gave me a bottle filled with pills. "Take these once a day and come back when you've finished them, start now." I took the pill right then and there, he's watching me I feel it.

hate it, I hate it. Need to get rid of it.

I hear him, in my head. I nodded to Qiqi and Baizhu and left to get to Xiao's side. On my way out I saw the dog that I would normally leave a peace of meat for. I patted his head and crouched down leaving some chicken for him.

Kill it.

I backed away, more like jumped away. The dog sensed my intent to kill for a split second but paid no mind to it, and continued eating.

Kill it. Hurt it.

I cried, I don't want to harm it. I need to get out of here.

Thunder was heard over the waters, I looked over and saw what looked to be debris swirling around in a circle. A tornado on the water? I squinted The hell?!

I ran towards Xiao.

"Aether!" He yelled as I got to him, Pimon was holding onto my cape and I was holding onto Xiao's arm while he held the mountain. The wind was strong, the lanterns that were in the air were being drawled into the tornado. "It's going to hit the port!"

I looked to Xiao who was looking at the tornado, "my archons-" Pimon said pointing at the tornado. "What?" I questioned looking off behind the already visible tornado. "There's more than one," Xiao said now looking at me. I looked at him,

Throw yourself in it, and let him set us free

What do you mean?

He's in there, you sense it.

Who?!

"Aether!" Pimon yelled, "Pimon go into your pocket space, that way I know you'll be safe!"

"NO! Pimon isn't leaving you! Not again!" I grabbed her and hugged her tight, letting go of Xiao. Loud bangs could be heard, geo was falling from the sky. Ningguang was trying to get rid of the tornado by taking out its base. "Please I'll be fine Xiao is with me. Besides this wind could blow you away." a lie.

She nodded flew up to my face and kissed my cheek, then disappeared. I felt Xiao hold my hand, "If the mortals can't stop it the Adepti will step in, who knows what that'll mean."

I know what it means, it means the Adepti will take over Liyues affairs. The wind picked up, its speed hurting my ears as the thunder roared, the rain started to fall but it was harsh and felt like needles piercing my skin.

Just then the tornado stopped moving toward Liyue, it was getting bigger- it was heading towards us.
