Another day Another Love Story {Xiao x Aether}

Aether POV

Yang was telling me everything about what would have happened if Lumine and I never left, how my sister and I overruled our father, and how Lumine married and had a little girl. How I- how we became a music teacher for boys and girls. Hearing him say all that made me regret getting caught with my Violin, I know that that wasn't how it was supposed to happen but I'm glad it did otherwise I would have never met anyone in Teyvat, then he brought his attention to the boy in my arms.

"Sooo." I turned my head, "Who's he? I sense that he loves you and I sense you have feelings for him as well???" I felt my face heat up

"Uh-hh n-no" I held Xiao tighter, out of instinct.

"Oh, yea? Then why do you keep holding this version of him like he's gonna leave you?"

I blushed, hard.

"It's jus-st.... I don't know what it is... I-I like being near him."

"Hmm" I know Yang can't smirk but it feels like he's smirking.

"I can tell you love him."

"And what if I did? Is it so wrong to love him? I love him and I want him to be happy and free from pain, it's such a selfish wish. It's not like he loves me back!" Yang and Yin smiled.

"You blind fool! HA! While you slept I was waiting for a moment of weakness, the amount of times this boy has told you he loved you while you slept is immense! Such a fool." Ying yelled laughing

"He-" I looked at this Xiao, I was happy... really happy.

"How much longer are we going to be here? Not that I don't like talking to you but-"

Yang cut me off "not much longer, a few minutes perhaps. I should say, Ying and I are still going to be in your mind, if you need us, call us." I giggled, sort of like Xiao.

"You should be waking up soon, if you need my skills in a fight don't fear to call me, I'll be in control but your conscience will return when you're ready."

I nodded, feeling a little sleepy then Ying started singing the song mom would sing and I drifted off to sleep.

If ya wanna know the song its Isabella's Lullaby (from "The Promised Neverland") I like this song so :P

I opened my eyes to see a wooden ceiling. I felt something heavy on my arm, I looked over and saw Xiao hugging it, asleep, he looked scared. I moved to my side and hugged him, his head on my chest. My chin resting on his head, have you been eating? I wanted to ask, but couldn't bring myself to speak. Xiao shifted moving his arms around my waist, "I love you too Xiao" was all I could muster. "Hmm" Xiao mumbled something but I couldn't hear, I fell back asleep next to the man I love.

Xiao POV

I jumpped to the sound of thunder, I moved my hand to Aether to make sure he was ok.

"Xiao?" I looked at Aether, he was rubbing his eye with his hand and sat up.

"Aether!" I couldn't contain myself and hugged him, he hugged me back. I pulled away still holding onto him, "Are you ok? What happened?" I asked with worry in my voice. He smiled, "It's funny, really..." Aether explained what had happened.

"I'm just glad you're safe," I said holding his cheek, our faces inches apart. Aether blushed a little, I want to tell him I do but I'm... I'm ... what is this feeling? I'm scared? Suck it up, he needs to know.

"Aether?"

"Yea?"

"I-"

The door slammed open and I jolted away out of instinct, "ARE YOU OK?! THAT THUNDER WAS LOUD!!!!" Pimon came flying in with Shenhe and Chongyun behind her.

"AETHER!!!" Pimon flew at him and cupped him in a hug, "PIMON WAS SO WORRIED!! PIMON'S NEVER LEAVING YOU AGAIN!!!"

"Good to see you're doing better." Shenhe said while walking over to Aether, I removed myself from the bed when Shenhe nodded to me. She placed the back of her hand on Aether's forehead, "Much better, and everything seems to be balanced." She removed her hand and walked back to where Chongyun was standing.

Aether laughed, "Sorry to be such a bother this past week." he seemed sad.

"I heard it was your birthday a few days ago!" Chongyun chimed in trying to lighten the mood. Aether nodded with a smile.

"I hope you don't mind but I invited your friends from Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma! I sent letters a few days ago, I had a feeling you'd wake up soon. Most people are already downstairs, you don't have to see them now of course! But may I tell them you're awake and doing well?" Chongyun asked with a sparkle in his eyes. "Sure," Aether said with a chipper voice, Chongyun smiled bowed then left, Shenhe followed.

"Pimon's going to tell them too!" With that, she flew out of view.

"So much for never leaving me." Aether laughed, struggling to get out of bed, I walked over to him and helped him up, "You were trying to tell me something? Before Pimon cam-"

"I love you."
