Another day Another Love Story {Xiao x Aether}

Xiao POV

Aether held my hand tighter and started running, the tornado was heading our way. How could it possibly change course? It makes no sense, I turned around, and the other tornados were gone. I stopped dead in my tracks, Aether stopping and looking at me. "The other tornados are gone!" I yelled so he could hear. He looked at me covering his ears when lightning struck the earth with a loud echo of thunder, he's in pain I see it. I hugged him and teleported him to the Inn, the rain followed us.

"Stay here!" I yelled while the rain just got heavier. He was crying, I looked at him, he was sitting on the floor in a fetal position. He still has his hands over his ears. I grabbed his wrists and pulled them away from his ears and onto my face. "I'll be back," I said kissing his palm. "I'll be back." I teleported to Verr at the desk and told her what was going on and to stay with Aether who was upstairs. She nodded and ran up the steps, and I teleported back to Liyue.

The tornados are, gone? What the.

I was walking down to the entrance of Liyue when I saw this white light fly out of me, it stopped in front of my face and then zoomed back into me. The hell? It didn't hurt or anything it was just weird.

I teleported to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor to try and find Zhongli, he was resting on the benches outside, there was paper from the lanterns and trash everywhere. Where is everyone?

"Adeptus Xiao," Zhongli said. I walked up to him, "Are you alright, where is the-"

"Don't know it vanished into thin air a minute ago," he said, I looked at him, a minute ago? "Where's Aether? I heard he was at the pharmacy, is he alright?" He asked.

I nodded, "He's at the Inn, I took him there after the tornado appeared. He's- I don't know." I sat down next to Zhongli, "He thinks his father is watching him. He also says that there's this voice in his head telling him to hurt others and himself. Aether shared his past with me Zhongli, it wasn't a pleasant childhood. It was full of abuse and death. I'm worried."

I dropped my head into my hands, "have you told him how you felt?" I shook my head no, "At least not while he's awake." Zhongli patted my leg, "Given what just happened and Aethers condition..." I looked at him and he sighed, "Never throw away a chance to say I love you to the people you care about because tomorrow is never promised. Go to him and tell him. He may need it now more than ever." I took a second to take in what he said, it reminded me of what I never got to say to my brothers and sisters. I nodded, sat up, thanked him, and started to walk away. "And Xiao?" He said. As I turned around people started leaving their homes, taking in the sight of Liyue. "Bring him by sometime, I do miss him and Pimon." I smiled and nodded, teleporting back to the Inn. It's good to talk to Zhongli, like we used to back when he first saved me.

When I got to the room Aether was sitting in front of Verr. They were talking, well more like Verr was talking. I walked in and they both looked at me and I explained what had happened.

"They just vanished?" Asked Verr, we were all standing in the kitchen with the rest of the staff.

I nodded. "How is that even possible?" Pimon asked. I looked at Aether who was looking at me, he looked like he was worried. I looked back to the group and moved my arm to try and hold Aether's hand. I just grazed it, then I felt Aether hold my hand and squeezed it with force. I squeezed back, Verr and the others were saying something when I felt my heart pound and not like it does when I'm with Aether. I took a harsh breath, I felt Aether move his hand to my back.
