Another day Another Love Story {Xiao x Aether}

We made it to 1k reads or whatever!! (gonna go dance in my corner). I just finished the story (on google docs) and I think everything is good! I hope to do one little thing towards the end where I get some ideas from my fellow readers here, to add in on the story (or be like a dream ya know?) Anyway!! We're gonna go back to uploading once a day till then, hehe hope you enjoy this peace!

A few hours after Xiao teleported away I felt extremely tired, the arrow must have been dosed with something. I was talking to Paimon when I felt lightheaded,

Yang, Ying? Why do I feel like this?

We're working on it Aether, it looks like your father wanted you to sleep through the war and take you after he finished killing everything and everyone.

I sighed and Paimon took notice, "Rest Aether Xiao will be back soon."

I jolted awake breathing heavily, it was night. My heart raced, my head pounding.

I couldn't hear, everything was ringing. I knew what that meant, "Paimon.." She appeared, "Let the others know.... It's time." She looked at me in shock then nodded and teleported away.

I stood up, got changed, grabbed my instrument from under the bed, walked to the balcony, and teleported to Dragonspine.

"Aether--" the wind was calling me, I looked up to the sky... stars falling, flying across the sky.

"As the bow runs over the strings," I brought the instrument to my neck.

"The flow of endless bliss begins,

And when the music fills the air," I tuned my instrument.

"You shower divine charm everywhere,"

I strung each string, the G string to the E string. A simple scale.

I paused at the light pain in my fingers, I need to play... regardless of the pain.

I took a deep breath and started to play again.

He's here, I must get his attention. Make him regret coming here, as I played the wind picked up, I heard shuffling behind me, it was the Knights of Favonius they were watching me play. Paimon must have gone to them first. My hair blew in the wind pulling tightly, I didn't let the pain stop me from playing. One at a time the stars from the sky flew down into the snow, letting out loud bangs each time. Some were on the hill, others in front of me a few meters away.

I heard sounds of boots and wings flapping, help from Liyue was here.

As I played louder and faster, the largest star flew down and landed right in front of me. My father, stood in front of me as I played. He was tall with long golden blond hair, a white robe with jewels around his waist, and rings on each finger. His crown was tightly secured around his head and the scar on his right eye that I caused the last time I escaped from him. His other eye was pure gold, shining with the snow around us.

I finished the song and removed the instrument from view. A gush of wind occurred behind me with a loud thud, I didn't turn around I knew it was Xiao, and he brought all the help from Inazuma. I can tell that takes a toll on him but I don't let him remove my focus on my father. The snow that was flying in the air fell to the ground, Shenhes doing. I could see the army behind my father, "Son" He spoke in our native tongue, his voice was loud and deep, similar to Zhonglis but has a harsh tone to it. I didn't speak, "Where is your sister?" He asked looking around, he then laughed. "An army?? How pitiful" He looked down at me. "You are not prepared. Bring Lumine then we shall start," he said loudly, walking away from me.

"I can not!" I yelled back. I heard from behind everyone getting into an attacking position. My father turned around, I felt the wind on my side where I was shot. the wind, it's always the wind. Xiao's hand was on my shoulder, he was ready to get me out of here.

"And whys that?" My father asked walking back to me.

"She isn't coming." I said back to him. He looked at Xiao, and his smile dropped.

"This reality is fading, you have one week. I will be merciful because you are my son. We can talk this out if you bring your sister." He said walking away, "you still call me your son even after all you've done to me? To Lumine?!"

He turned to face me, "You are weak right now, watch your tone."

"And if I dont?" I responded with anger in my voice.

"Then I'll kill your lover-" He pointed to Xiao "In front of you, make his death long and painful. I'll force you to watch as I have with your mother to Lumine." I gulped and looked to Xiao who was looking at me, "what?" he whispered. My father went back to his army and teleported away. I felt like falling but Xiao kept me up.

"What'd you say," Xiao asked, I shook my head and walked back to where everyone was, Violin in hand. I teleported it away. "We have another week...." I was talking to the heads of each nation, "He says if I bring my sister he'll talk it out." I sighed, "He knows that we were separated. He's playing with us."

"That was your Father? Holly cow is he TALL!!" Itto yelled. I looked away, ashamed. If only that unknown god didn't take my powers.

"What was that language you were using?" Itto said laughing. I couldn't say anything, I was thinking.

We had a meeting and decided it was best to keep the war in Dragonspine. Everyone was preparing for war, I must find Lumine.

I was watching everyone, I turned around bumping into Ei right away. "Traveler, you're going to look for your sibling?"

"Yes, I am. My father wants her here otherwise..." otherwise he'll kill Xiao... ill keep that to myself.

"It's alright, you'll leave in the morning," she said patting my head and walking off.

I got to Xiaos and my room and plopped down on the bed. A few minutes passed and the door opened, then closed. I heard footsteps walking over to me, "Are you awake love?" I turned around, "Hi Birdy." I said hiding my sadness with a smile. "Birdy?" He asked, his ears turning red as he sat down next to me. I moved my head so I was resting on his lap, Xiao played with my hair. "Hmm, Zhongli said that you liked birds so I," I sighed. "I thought it was cute." I turned over facing Xiao while I still lay on his lap, he bent down and kissed me. "It is," he said sighing, I sat up and laid my head on his shoulder.

"I'm leaving to find my sister. I have an idea of where she is, my father will not indulge us in a fight if she isn't present." I closed my eyes fearing Xiao would tell me no, "I'll go with you."

"No I have to do this alone, you help everyone here." I looked up at Xiao, "If anything happens.."

"I'll call your name Adeptus Xiao," I said giggling,

"Be careful."

"I will be, I love you-" I was about to drift off to sleep when Xiao called my name,
