"WHY THE FUCK WOULD SHE DO THAT!"

Anger flooded my system. Why would she jump out of the window with him? Was she stupid or something? The news update pinged everyone's phone and the class went silent as they read. Rock Lock, The Fly, Shadow and Echo had been going after Dabi and Echo threw herself out of a third story window along with the Villain. They were both being rushed to the emergency room in hopes of saving a life.

"Bakugo! Please don't shout." Aizawa Sensei spoke softly. "Class is dismissed. Everyone go straight to the dorms, immediately!"

He waited until we had all packed up before leaving the class and going in the direction of the hospital. Vlad King from 2-B was already outside waiting to go with him. Whispers drifted through the hallways as we left. Silence, fear, and dread hung in the air during the walk to the dorms.

"I hope she is alive." Pinky voiced the thought we were all thinking.

Death had looked us all in the eye at some point, but none of us had ever thought we would meet that fate any time soon. It was as if everything just got real, and we got hit with the realization that it could have been any of us in y/n's position. People nodded and hummed in agreement. Just be okay, damnit. I know you're not weak, so just be okay.

Three days had passed since the news came out. Dabi lived and had been handed over to authorities, but something went wrong during the transport and he was in the wind. Y/n was alive but comatose, and showed no signs of waking.

Three more days passed and still nothing happened. Everyone on patrol was to look out for any signs of the Villain. The young girl was still under protection, and y/n had not woken up. Anyone that knew her had been to visit. Pinky, Kiri and I had all been a couple times. We usually went together, but I had come alone this time. The flowers on the table beside her were wilted and drooping. The balloons were starting to lose their helium and the atmosphere was grim. Her chest rose and fell with each breath, and the monitors beeped in sync. I stood over the girl and blinked as a tear landed on the blanket covering her. She had bandages wrapped around her head and legs. One of her arms was decorated in a purple cast. It matched her Hero costume.

"Fuck." I breathed a sigh and moved to sit in the chair beside the hospital bed. I sat there for a while and just watched her peaceful form lay before me. I closed my eyes for a minute and when I opened them golden light poured into the room and cast a glow on her face as the sun set below the horizon. Maybe I had them closed for a little more than a minute. I stayed a little longer and when the nurse came by to check y/n's vitals, she let me know that visiting hours were over. By then it had gotten dark out and I looked out at the sky.

"The stars look nice tonight." I left the room and before closing the door whispered, "I wish you could see them."
