“I can read him” Wanda comments as ULTRON and Dr. Cho work on a new body for ULTRON “He’s dreaming”
“I wouldn’t call it dreams. It’s ULTRON’s base consciousness. Informational noise. Soon…” Cho explains
“How soon?” interrupts ULTRON “I’m not being pushy”
“We’re imprinting a physical brain” Helen states as Wanda touches the box where the new body is being created “There are no shortcuts”
Wanda screams and falls back. She’s panting, trying to catch her breath as ULTRON gets up and Pietro walks to his sister to make sure she’s okay.
“How could you?” Wanda asks and looks at ULTRON
“How could I what?” ULTRON questions
“You said we would destroy the Avengers, make a better world” Wanda breathes
“It will be better” Ultron assures
“When everyone is dead?” Wanda asks
“That is not…The human race will have every opportunity to improve” Ultron argues
“And if they don’t?” Pietro asks
“Ask Noah” ULTRON says
“You’re a madman” Wanda reveals
“There were more than a dozen extinction-level events before even the dinosaurs got theirs. When the Earth starts to settle, God throws a stone at it. And believe me, he’s winding up. We have to evolve. There is no room for the weak” ULTRON explains
“And who decides who’s weak?” Pietro questions as Wanda frees Dr. Cho from her control
“Life” ULTRON chuckles "Life always decides"
“There’s incoming” ULTRON says after hearing a strange noise
Pietro kisses Wanda’s head as they slowly back away from ULTRON
“The Quinjet. We have to move” ULTRON states
“That’s not a problem” Dr. Cho says and stops the upload
Ultron sighs in annoyance and shoots Dr. Cho who flies back and groans. Pietro and Wanda use the opportunity to run.
“Ugh- Wait, guys!” ULTRON yells after them but they’re long gone
“They’ll understand,” Ultron says after shooting the other scientists in the room “When they see, they’ll understand. I just need a little more time”
Meanwhile Cap is climbing over the railing and onto a roof, behind him is Clint in a Quinjet. He walks to the edge and looks to the building ULTRON is in.
“Two minutes. Stay close” Captain commands
Cap walks inside the building and spots Dr. Cho laying on the ground. She’s breathing heavily, her outfit is at the top covered in blood and dust. Steve goes on his knees and grabs a white pad, trying to cover the wound.
“He’s uploading himself into the body” Helen says as she touches his hand
“Where” Steve asks
Cho shakes her head, telling him that she doesn’t know. Steve wants to grab something else to help her but Dr. Cho stops him.
“The real power is inside the Cradle. The gem, its power is uncontainable” She explains “You can’t just blow it up. You have to get the cradle to Stark”
“First I have to find it” Steve answers
“Go” Cho demands and nods
“Did you guys hear that?” Rogers asks through coms
“We did” Clint responds
“I got a jet taking off across town. No manifest” Natasha states from behind him “That could be him”
“There. It’s the truck from the lab” Clint points to the truck coming from under the tunnel “Right above you, Cap. On the loop by the bridge. It’s them. You got three with the Cradle, one in the cab. I could take out the driver”
“Negative. That truck crashes, the gem could level the city” Answers Steve who’s climbing up a ladder which leads up onto the street
“We need to draw out ULTRON” he announces
Steve sees the truck, prepares himself and jumps over the edge of the street above, landing on the truck.
“No, no, no, no. No, no” ULTRON rambles after he heard someone landing on top “Leave me alone!” He yells and shoots at the doors.
The one where Steve is holding onto opens and smashes him into the side of the truck. Cap kicks himself forward but ULTRON shoots again and both doors are now out of their angles. Steve holds onto the left door which is grinding on the ground, just hanging at one last screw at the truck.
“Well, he’s definitely unhappy” Rogers says “I’m gonna try and keep him that way”
“You’re not a match for him, Cap” Clint states
“Thanks, Barton” Steve answers between his panting

“Hey Ben, do y- Why are you packing?” I ask as I walk into our room
“Hey, didn’t I tell you? My science class is going to this big lab upstate. They work with animals and insects and other stuff. It’s really cool” He explains as he puts some shirts into his backpack
“No, you didn't. How long will you be gone?” I ask, sitting down on my bed
“Why? You missing me already or what?” he asks and looks up at me with a smirk
“No, just curious” I answer
“That's a lie” He states and gets up
“Yeah? Why would I lie?” I ask and look deep into his eyes
“Because you have no one else to talk to except me” He answers
“That’s not true. I have Anna and Sophia” I reply and get up as well
“Nope” He answers and I raise my eyebrow
“What do you mean “Nope” I question
“Anna and Sophia are in chess, remember?” He asks
“Oh..the chess tournament” I remember
“Exactly” Ben answers and meets my eyes again
We look into each other's eyes for what feels like forever, until I break the silence.
“Why are you staring at me?” I ask
“Why are You staring at me?” He repeats
“Ugh, I won’t miss you Idiot” I mutter and walk to my bed
“Liar” He whispers but I hear him
“Shut up” I demand and he starts to chuckle which makes me smile
I watch him pack his stuff and when he finishes, he says something I had never expected him to say.
“But I will miss you, Maven Collins”
