It's the last period and Anna and I agreed to meet at the entrance of the school.

I’m really glad that I have her…and I will miss her when she leaves.

She knows how to cheer me up and how to calm me down. I will miss that a lot too.

“Hey, Maven!” I hear as I walk out the door

I turn my head to the side and see Anna waving to me. I smile and jogg towards her.

“Hi” I greet her and we begin to walk towards the Manhattan bridge.

“Was it the accident?” Anna asks me out of nowhere, catching me off guard

“What?” I ask and look at her as we reach the bridge

“Your panic attack. Was it because of the accident?” She asks again and I nod

“Good, so I don’t have to beat someone up” She says which makes me chuckle

“No, no you don’t” I smile

We walk and walk and I see in the corner of my eye that Anna is looking around, seeing if someone is on the bridge.

“This is what you call a honeymoon?” Anna suddenly starts to sing  “Pacing around our separate rooms”

“Really?” I ask and laugh as she starts to move around the empty sidewalk of the bridge like she’s on Broadway

“Running from our elaborate ruse” She continues

“Anna” I complain but she doesn’t listen. I stop and watch her

“We’re doomed” She sings as she looks at me

“Daphne” I join “Please, forgive me, your grace” I start to walk again

“Your grace” She sings as I pass her

“Can’t even look me in my face. And now I must lie in the mess you made?” I continue and look at her behind a lantern, first my head to the moving left and then right.

“The mess we made” She repeats and walks past me

“It was your mistake. You kissed me in the maze” I follow her

“I was prepared to take my life that day” she sings a little quieter than me “I stole your fate”

“I stole you fate” I repeat as she takes my hands

“I stole your fate” She sings and I look up at her

“No, I stole your fate” I sing and look down again

“I don’t understand” Anna admits

“And now you’re forced to love a man you hate”  I look at her and begin to walk again, leaving her standing where I was a second ago

“Simon” She says

“I know you don’t feel the same. But I burn for you”  I sing and make the word burn as long as I can

“You burn for me?” She asks and catches up to me

“I burn” I repeat

“I burn” Anna repeats

“I burn” I say it again

“I burn” She sings again

“I burn for you” We sing together, looking at each other as we slowly reach the end of the bridge

“I burn” I sing

“You burn for me?” She asks and pulls the “burn” longer than I did

We look at each other and burst out laughing. We have done this so many times already, but we always laugh at the end.
