15. The Gentleman

Everyone is dressed and ready to fight. They all walk into the quinjet and take off.

"ULTRON knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. And that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out" Steve explains and they all start to plan

They finally land and Pietro takes off running immediately.

"We're under attack! Clear the city! Now!" Pietro yells as he reaches the local police department and runs out again

The policemen look at each other and continue with the conversation. Not taking Pietro seriously. Pietro runs in again, takes the gun from one of the men and shoots up in the air, making everyone look at him.

"Get off your asses" Pietro tells them annoyed and walks out, handing the gun back to the men

"All they want is to live their lives in peace. And that's not gonna happen today" Captains' words run through their heads as they evacuate the city.

Wanda stands in the middle of the city, using her power to control every inhabitant and take them to safety.

"But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done. We find out what ULTRON's been building. We find Romanoff.."

And that's what Thor and Banner do. They split up after entering the building. Thor walks down to where ULTRON made his robot armee and Bruce walks upstairs to look for Natasha. Clint watches from above as Wanda lets everyone walk out of their homes. The streets are filled with people. A lot of people.

"...And we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. ULTRON thinks we're monsters. That we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right" Steve's voice echoes through their minds reminding them why they're here

"Natasha!" Bruce calls out, trying to find her "Natasha!"

"Bruce?" She asks and gets up

"You all right?" He questions as he finds the cell with Natasha in it

"Yeah." She whispers

"The team is in the city. It's about to light up" Bruce informs her

"I don't suppose you found a key lying around somewhere" Natasha says

"Yeah. I did" he answers and steps away powering the weapon in his hands up and after Natasha backs up as well, he shoots and the cell door opens.

"So, what's our play?" Natasha asks for the plan so she knows what's gonna happen and how

"I'm here to get you to safety" Bruce confesses

"Job's not finished" Romanoff objects

"We could help with the evacuation, but I can't be in a fight near civilians" Bruce suggests "And you've done plenty. Our fight is over" he says, walking up to Nat

"So, we just disappear?" She asks

Meanwhile, Cap is guiding the civilians over the bridge. Some are driving in cars and some people walk or drive with a bike to safety.

"Your man's in the church, boss. I think he's waiting for you" Friday informs Stark who flies towards him

"Come to confess your sins?" ULTRON asks

"I don't know. How much time you got?" Tony sasses

"More than you" ULTRON assures Stark and appears behind him

"Uh...Have you been juicing? Little vibranium cocktail?" Stark jokes, referring to the new, bigger and more jacked version of ULTRON. "You're looking...I don't wanna say "puffy"

"You're stalling to protect the people" ULTRON accuses

"Well, that is the mission. Did you forget?" Tony questions

"I've moved beyond your mission. I'm free" He explains and a device comes out of the ground in the missile of the church.

"What? You think you were the only one stalling?" ULTRON asks

"There's the rest of the vibranium. Function, still unclear" Friday informs

"This is how you end, Tony" Ultron assures him "This is peace in my time"

I wake up by a soft voice speaking in my ear. My eyes flutter open and land on Ben. Why is he already up? I rub my eyes and prop myself up on one elbow.

"Why are you up?" I ask in a sleepy voice

"Because we have to go in 10 minutes" He answers and I sit up on my bed

"What?!" I yell

"You are late" He says with a smirk

"No, no I'm not. You're joking right?" I ask in denial

"Nope" He smirks and shows me his phone

"Why didn't you wake me up earlier?!" I yell and run to my closet

"Because...you're cute when you sleep" He answers and I give him THE look

I pull my shirt off and realize just now that Ben is still there. I turn around with widen eyes. I'm glad that I still have my sports bra on from yesterday.

"Stop looking! Turn around!" I command and wait for him to do so bit he just stand there

"Ugh!" I groan and walk into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me

I finish and walk out again. I look at him and he smiles.

"I'm sorry" He apologizes

"No. no, you're not" I say and grab my backpack

"No, I'm not" He confirms and I laugh

"Idiot" I mumble and walk out of the room

As we walk towards the bus with the other kids, I see Ben looking at me from the corner of my eyes. I smirk but keep on walking. We reach the bus-door and before Ben goes in, he waits for me and lets me go in first. I chuckle at his action but comply and walk in first.

"Thank you, sir" I joke and walk to an empty seat

I chuckle quietly. Almost bursting out laughing as he sits down next to me. I look out the window, trying to avoid his eyes because I know I would totally start laughing. So I press my lips at each other and try pulling myself together. Doesn't last long though. It's so funny watching his attempt to be a gentleman. But it's cute.

We walk out of the bus again and he helps me out of the bus, holding his hand out to help me. I take it and smile. I walk past him, but before I could thank him, I couldn't hold my laughter any longer. I run away towards the school, laughing so loud that the man in the moon probably hears it.

"What?!" I hear Ben yell after me but I can't respond

I wish Anna and Sophia could see him right now. I decide to text them the details later. I have to calm down before school starts.
