Take The Leap

I fall from the clouds, I'm tumbling down,

I shout from my mouth but I don't hear a sound,

I'm reaching for ropes, clinging on to a hope,

I see lots of water but don't see a boat,

Do broken bodies float?

If I land in a dive is there a chance I survive?

If I ball up and hold will it break all my bones?

With the wind at my chest, I am facing the earth,

Closing my eyes and embracing the hurt,

My feet hit the water, as cold as it gets,

Engulfing my neck while I'm holding my breath,

Moving my limbs, I don't feel any pain,

The water is warm as it welcomes me in,

The feeling of purpose, somewhere I belong,

Like a chorus that hits when you hear it in song,

The fear of the jump and the fear of the fall,

It will keep you away from having it all,

There'll be people who doubt you, think that your weak,

Do not let them stop you from taking the leap.

Embrace the fear,

Chase your dreams,

Carve your path the way only you can see it.
