Watching Them Grow

The day you were born my life changed,

I could see the world and it would never be the same,

The day you arrived I know I cried,

Looking at your face I saw the future in your eyes,

You're getting big, I'm growing old,

I just want you to be proud of the place that you call home,

More that you grow, more that you know,

I am the proudest father just happy to watch the show,

The day that you leave is what I fear,

Every passing day I know it's slowly creeping near,

You're gonna grow up to be a man,

I've known sense a baby still it's hard to understand,

You no longer need to hold my hand,

But I will always guide you, I always will if I can,

I hope when I'm older you'll be there,

And like I pushed your stroller, you can push my chair.
