Morning

Hayley and Ollie went to the Bayou together. They had stopped by Mary's to catch up with Eve, who had called Hayley, in person.

Eve and Mary were drinking coffee on the front porch.

"That was right quick," Mary said. "How's my babies doing?"

Hayley and Ollie embraced them both.

"Oh, your baby Jack is taking over the place," Ollie quipped, dodging as Mary went to swat his thigh.

"I meant Emily and Christopher," Mary clarified, smiling. "I sure do miss y'all, though."

"They are good. Em's been quiet, Chris, too. Sara is dragging him around almost as much as her Wolfie. She's quite a pistol," Hayley explained. "Mary, come back with us. Please."

"Nah, then who would Eve have to fuss over?" Mary laughed.

Eve snickered, "Um, all the wolf kids leaving by the water. Hayley, Ollie convinced Karlie to join your school yesterday. But it seems that she made friends with three kids camping deeper in the swamp. I think one is a wolf, but I don't think the other two are. Karlie doesn't know what they did, but she said they are scared and ready to take off again. She thinks the one is sick," Eve explained.

Ollie got himself some coffee. "How come you didn't flush them out, Eve?"
Eve frowned, "I tried, young man. I guess I ain't as stealthy as you young folk. They ran before I even got close. And did you get Hayley coffee?"

Hayley put up a hand. "My stomach has been upset lately. I guess I'm stressing myself out. Hopefully, we'll bring these kids back safely."

Mary couldn't help yelling out, "Be careful. I remember the day the boys brought you home. Watch out for witches!"

Ollie rolled his eyes, "Grams, we can take 'em. Don't y'all worry."

"That's my job to worry. Y'all come back safe with them kids," Mary called out.

"Yes, ma'am," Ollie replied. They would try.

Squatter's Camp

Jade snapped, "Back off. You know, I was in training to be an emergency medical technician!"

Jade pushed back her dark blond hair from her sweaty forehead and forced the herbal blend down Diego's throat.

"Owww, that tastes like shit!" Diego gulped.

Wendy grinned, "That's how ya know it's working. Quit being a baby. You have a fever. My aunties swore by that mixture."

Diego spat on the floor of the dilapidated old tent.

Jade made a face. She seethed, "Do that again and I'm going to make Wendy here catch you on fire!"

Wendy laughed, but went to smack Jade's arm. "Bitch, that ain't funny. If I torch anyone, it's gonna be you!"

Before Jade could make a snappy comeback, Diego growled, "People are coming!"

Wendy had meant to cast a cloaking spell, but that last one had gone awry. She thought moving further from the wolves camp would be safer. Maybe not?
Jade vamped out, "I'll take care of this."

Jade straightened up and saw a tall, slender girl and a rugged blonde boy stalking towards them, followed by Karlie.

"Karlie? What the fuck? We trusted you to keep your big mouth shut," Jade yelled. "Don't come any closer!"
