Late Morning

Wendy was usually pretty mild-mannered, except when provoked. After Aurora told the witches they were now her enemies and made the cutting gesture, Wendy snapped. She did the thing she feared most.

The bush right next to where Aurora was standing suddenly burst into flames when Wendy whispered the Latin form of the spell, "Incendia."

Aurora's fast vampire reflexes allowed her move before the flame singed her skin, but the fire spells quickness and proximity scared her. Aside from taking off your daylight ring in the sun, fire was the next fastest way for a vampire to die. Even for an extremely old vampire like Aurora, they could die by flames once engulfed, especially if their healing was altered. The fear in Aurora's eyes was suddenly replaced by white-hot rage. She vamped to Wendy and knocked her to the ground with a face slap.

Ollie ran and pulled Aurora off, but the vampire was still strong. Aurora took an infusion of medicine in the morning...but she still had plenty of angst to go around.

Ollie hollered, "Y'all do something!"
Clarice snapped out her shock and cast a holding spell on Aurora and Jade, who was right next to her. "That should hold them a while.

Rowan asked, "Are they cast in a circle?"

"Yes, you remember that one, eh?" Clarice laughed. It was one of the first spells she learned as one of the Sisters. People could enter the circle, but the vampires would be trapped as long as the witch who cast it held it in place.

Ollie grunted and stomped over to the other side of the bush that Wendy had partially burn. He pulled out his pen knife from his pocket and cut a long branch, stripping it off leaves and thorns.

Wendy got nervous and looked at the stick. "What are you doing?"

Aurora rolled her eyes, "This is bloody nonsense, she just tried to kill us."
Ollie frowned, "Fixing to stripe your legs for this nonsense."

Wendy whined, "But Aurora threatened us! I didn't mean to catch the bush on fire but she was-!"
"That is enough! All three of y'all are getting whupped. Then, you can deal with Hayley. I ain't putting up with this," Ollie revealed. He swished the switch through the air and it made an eerie whistling sound. "This will do. Clarice, can I get in there?"

Clarice grimaced, "Yes, I can hold them there for a while longer. You can enter."

Wendy stepped back and looked as if she was going to take off. Ollie realized that he better deal with the young witch outside of the circle before she did something else crazy.

"Don't even think of it, missy. If you do and I gotta chase ya, I'm taking off my belt," Ollie warned. "Now, you're first. Lean over and put your hands on your knees!"
Wendy gulped, determined to talk her way out of this.

"No, please. I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking. Please, don't," Wendy stammered, backing away. She looked toward the sisters for help, but Clarice was maintaining the hold. Rowan grasped her sister's arm and linked with her to add to her power. A spell like this took concentration.

Ollie realized that Wendy was scared and not able to cooperate. He took three fast steps over to Wendy and grabbed the petite brunette's upper arm. He gripped her tightly and snapped down the switch across her denim shorts.
