I walked down the silent halls seeing students walking past me holding their luggage. I slowly stepped to Dumbledore's office door not knowing what to think... Or do... I slowly pushed the door open to see Harry looking around.
"Harry".. I stuttered.. He quickly turned around at the sound of my voice leading me to walk up to him hugging him tightly.
"I hate this". I whispered with tears streaming down my face.
"I know... I know". Harry whispered while stepping back from me.
"Potter... Wyllt"? We heard McGongall speak softly with a tone of confusion making me turn beside Harry to see her. She studied our faces and then soon frowns.
"In light of what's happened should you feel the need to talk to someone-"... McGongall paused in her words while I and Harry walked towards the door.
"You should know, Professor Dumbledore-". McGongall paused once more making I and Harry turn to look at her.
"You meant a great deal to him". McGongall whispered while looking toward Harry. I smiled faintly while looking at him.
"He believed in you Y/n... Since he found out what you tried to do for Harry in the first year"... McGongall whispered leading me to smile while wiping a tear from my cheek. I nodded slowly while walking up, to gently hug her.
"Thank you McGongall". I whispered while stepping back from her to stand beside Harry. Harry slowly grabbed my hand gently pulling me out of Dumbledore's office. We walked side by side... Silent..
"You know you mean a lot to me right Harry"? I spoke softly while turning to look at him. He smiled while walking beside me.
"You're my family Y/n". Harry whispered those smile-worthy words making me hug him even more tightly. We both stepped back and looked over to see Ron and Hermione on the main balcony talking to each other. I quickly walked over to them engulfing them in hugs.
"I missed you". I whispered while stepping back from Ron while he sat back down. I walked over to the balcony beside Harry and Hermione and slowly lifted the locket from under my jacket and slid it to Harry. He looked over at me confused and back down at the locket slowly opening it to have a piece of paper fall out leading all of us to look at the piece of parchment resting upon the floor. Hermione slowly grabbed the piece of paper and read over it.
"It's fake". Hermione stuttered while sliding the paper to me and Harry. I glanced over not wanting to read the whole thing.
"I know I will be dead long before you read this but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more-R.A.B" I read while looking towards the tiny piece of paper.
"Do you think he would've done it? Draco"?. Hermione asked quickly trying to change the subject.
"No!.. He was lowering his wand". I spoke softly while looking down at the ring on my finger having Hermione place her hand on mine trying to comfort me.
"In the end, it was Snape.. It was always Snape.. And I did nothing"... Harry spoke upset.
"No! Dumbledore told us to stay down there... We listened to his last request". I spoke quickly while looking over the scenery.
"I'm not coming back". Harry whispered making me quickly turn my head to him.
"What do you mean"? Hermione asked worriedly.
"I have to finish what Dumbledore started.. And I have to do it alone"...Harry spoke softly while I looked back down at my hand laying over the railing.
