I stared at a door.. Not any door. A door that unlocked thousands of memories. Big and small.. I slowly turned to smile lightly towards my fiance. The most beautiful man in this universe.. Inside and out.
"Your mother? Your mother had my family castle mended"? I whispered with a smile while wrapping my arms around his neck.
"She was... A bit excited when she heard the news". Draco whispered with a smile.
"News she's known would come for awhile"! I laughed while intertwining my fingers with his. I slowly turned the knob and pushed the door open to watch the candles and torches burst into flames feeling the arrival of their owner. I smiled lightly while looking around... Remembering my parents... Ophil... Victor... They were all in my memories...
"Are you alright love"? Draco whispered in my ear.
"Yes, darling... Just.. Just thinking". I spoke softly with a faint smile.
"My mother thought a castle like your families couldn't just stand here in ruins"... Draco spoke softly while we slowly walked beside each other.
"Ah yes... When certain witches and wizards stormed the castle in search of me and my father... And they found neither". I whispered quickly while looking towards the family portrait hallway...
"Soon our faces will be on those walls" I spoke softly with a faint smile while looking down what seemed like an endless hallway.
"Draco Lucius Wyllt... Lovely name". Draco whispered in my ear while planting a kiss on my cheek. I slowly turned around to look at him with a smile.
"A lovely name indeed... But if you want me to take your name I would". I whispered with a faint smile.
"Already decided darling... I'm taking yours". Draco spoke softly with a faint smile.
"And how will your mother feel about this arrangement"? I questioned while holding his arm... Walking into the dining room.
"She won't care... She only wants us happy". Draco spoke happily making me smile. I slowly turned my head to see the family portrait above the fire mantle beside the dining table... Not a single tear was shed from my eye...
"I wish they were here... To attend the ceremony... They would have loved being here... Seeing us". I spoke softly while looking up at my parent's faces... Seeing how beautifully painted they were...
"I know love... I know". Draco whispered in my ear.
I sat in bed beside Draco while looking through my files trying to plan for another charity event...
"You're stressing yourself out, love". Draco whispered while laying his hand on mine. I slowly looked down at my hand and his... Seeing the engagement ring.. Watching the ring glimmer from our bedside lamps... I loved the ring... I loved it so much... Not just because it was a big stone but because of the meaning behind it... Soon we will be husband and wife... And that thought made me happier by the minute... I slowly turned my head to look over at him.
"We should see everyone again... Maybe we can host a dinner.. It will take some stress away from the charity event down in Wales". I spoke softly with a faint smile while stacking my papers and files.
"But we haven't seen them in years! And I don't think they would want to see me"! Draco spoke quickly while I walked up to a shelf sliding the files in... I turned to look at him seeing him lean back into the headboard.
"They don't think like that... I know it". I spoke softly while walking over to the bed and climbing in right beside him.
"We both don't know how they think... I walked onto those castle grounds that night with the wrong side darling"... Draco whispered softly in my ear while he wrapped his arms around me...
