I just couldn't live with the treatment idea but I had no choice. The nightmares of Alice's reaction to her electrotherapy haunted me so I avoided sleep. Instead I started to form my plan. My plan to escape.

I wanted to rescue everyone from Depth because the treatment they received wasn't right. However I knew that although the treatment wasn't humane or compassionate, some patients would have to stay. It wasn't just because it meant sneaking all of them out which would be hard with just one patient, but also because some of them did need to stay. The question was... Who could I save?

Harry had to stay. He would become a killer if he was let out on the streets. Sophie was sick with a true illness. The only way she would get help was if she stayed. Dana would kill herself if she was let out so what was the point? Rose would one day learn how to control her anger but she would only figure it out if she stayed. Edmund was only young and didn't deserve the awful treatment he got but he really DID need the help. Cathy also needed to stay. Her imagination would fade eventually, I was certain.

That left four more patients. George with his 'dumbness', Seth with his dwarfism and Simon with his need to be a female. And Mary. Maybe she was mental. But there was something about her and I was determined to rescue her.

Four patients to escape with. It couldn't be too hard... Could it?
