I waited on the front for Alice. A red BMW pulled up. The second the engine cut out, Alice leaped out of the back seat and jumped at me. I caught her and she wrapped her legs around my waist.

"We're getting married in a week?!" She squealed. I smiled.

"I'm meant to give you a formal invitation." I took out the envelope from my back pocket with one of my hands. She took it and took out the stiff piece of rose patterned card.

Alice Cullen and Jasper Whitlock formally invite you to their wedding on 16th July.

"It'll probably be a small ceremony but-"

"But it'll be the best wedding ever." Alice finished. She kissed me passionately.

"Can you two come inside? I need to make my own announcement." Carlisle told us. I let Alice drop and she landed on her feet. We followed him back into the living room. Esme hugged Alice and then me.

"I'll help sort it all out." She promised. She took the card from Alice and propped it against a photo frame on the window sill.

"But for now, I must say my own announcement," Everyone looked at Carlisle. He was smiling slightly. "You two have joined us and it definitely looks like you're here to stay. Even if you wanted to go, that would be impossible because we have all grown to love you both. You became part of the Cullens the second you walked through our door. However to be part of the Cullens, we all share a crest that shows our loyalty, our strength but mostly of our family bonds." Carlisle pulled out a silvery grey material with a black stone object in the middle. He went to Alice and put it around her neck. Alice smiled with happiness and pride as a choker was put around her throat. Carlisle then put his hand back in his pocket and advanced on me. He took my hand from my side and fixed a black wrist strap to my wrist. It was leather, tied with small black ties. Set on the leather was a grey object. It was like a smooth pebble and was definitely the color of a stone but set in it was a lion on some sort of pedestal with a hand and what looked like cloves. It did look extraordinarily beautiful.

"Welcome to our family." Carlisle hugged us both. I looked around the room, noticing for the first time that Emmett and Edward had the same wristcuff as I. Esme had a bracelet. Carlisle had a ring. Rosalie had a necklace. They were linked by more than marriage and venom. They were linked through the strong bonds of a family.
