A few minutes later, the car came to a stop in front of a building whose sides and surroundings were generously adorned with flower of various colours and breed.
Stepping out, Natasha spun towards Emma with her arms wide open.
"Welcome to 'Deserts Haven.
Quickly grabbing Emma's hand, she tugged at her to follow.
"I come here almost every week. Sweets are my painkillers and it's a good way to relieve stress. And stressed you are. Come on. Let's go."
The inside was even more enchanting and luxurious than the outer look. It was decorated with medium-sized glass tables which were arranged spaciously across it's length. The inbuilt ceiling lights complimented the orange-stained marble floor perfectly. It made everywhere look almost as though it was sparkling.
The counter had a large variety of pastries lined up. Different flavours of ice creams and drinks were displayed for everyone's pleasure. There was seemingly something for everybody.
Still holding Emma's hand, Natasha led the way to an empty middle table. The place was unusually filled up.
"Strange." Natasha thought. Granted she hadn't visited in quite a while but all the times she did there were never this many people.
"What happened?" She wondered as her curious gaze roamed from one end of the room to the other so deep in her thoughts that she barely noticed the young lady standing patiently by her side holding with a notepad and a pen.
"Oh Hi GG." She greeted her warmly reading her name tag. Pineapple ice cream for me and-"
She nodded towards Emma.
"What will you be having?"
"Almond ice cream for me please."
"Noted. You'll be enjoying your order here as usual right?" The young lady asked as she penned down their orders and received a nod from Natasha before skating off to do her job.
Emma watched her go fetch their orders in amazement. "It's really cool they're allowed to wear skates to work." She sighed wondering how she was able to have such good balance.
"Right?" Natasha exclaimed in agreement. "You know, I also tried getting a job here sometime back but I was turned down. Apparently, they only hire students in either the Lion or Tiger dorm. Anyone above cannot get a job on the school grounds. Anywhere. Trust me I've tried."
She joked bit was different ttstill curious about what was causing all the buzz.
"Wait they hire students here?" Emma asked clearly surprised.
"Yes absolutely. Anyone who isn't in any of the two top dorms can get a job in any of the stores on campus. I think they feel the students may want to work to earn the extra cash but most usually do it for the fun of it or as a dare."
Natasha said chuckling."But why did you want a job here? I mean- I'm sure you don't need it."
"Do you even need to ask?" She drew closer almost whispering.
"They wear skates to work Emma. Skates. That's all I have to say on this matter. I rest my case." Natasha leaned back on the chair both hands in the air.
They both burst into laughter when Natasha suddenly sighted somebody from the corner of her eye, but failed to see the other person sitted opposite.
"Is that who I think it is? No way!"
At that moment the mysterious person made their way towards their table.
"Who're you looking at?" Emma asked Natasha who was sitting opposite her.
