When Adelaide opened her eyes her head was pounding and every bone in her body hurt. Blinding lights hung from the ceiling causing everything around her to be darkened.

She tried to move her arms but they were held down.

In the dark room she heard footsteps approaching. After the ringing faded, Adelaide was able to make out what they were saying in Russian.

"Doctor, I gave you strict instructions or you ignored everyone of them!" A man who was clearly trying to keep his voice down, scolded another man.

"Actually, sir, you asked me to make the perfect soldier. After the failed test with the Winter Soldier, I have altered Zola's serum and Erskin's to do just that." This other person had a slight waver in his voice. "This serum has altered and enhanced her brain. Made her stronger but shows no trace of any muscular changes."

"And her memory?" The first man asked. He sounded as though he had complete authority over the doctor.

"Unfortunately she'd still have to be put under memory wipe." The doctor informed.

"Very well, prep for injection." The man ordered to someone on the other end of the room.

Adelaide felt a sharp pinch in her bicep and watched as the bright light soon began to dim.

When she woke up again a man was checking her blood pressure and heart rate.

Her entire body hurt and her head felt like it would explode, but she was more concerned with the doctor in front of her.

When he removed the sleeve from her arm she quickly pulled away and wrapped her arm around his neck. She only meant to block his air ways, but when she heard a loud snap, she let go of his limp body.

"Don't shoot!" A familiar voice ordered. Adelaide hadn't noticed the circle of men aiming weapons at her.

The next few weeks were nothing but training. She was forced to learn and control her new strength. She was tested physically and mentally.

But that was her life. She couldn't remember anything before Hydra. Training and killing for them was everything she had ever known.

She thrived off of knowing more combat than any other agent, along with her added strength and being able to outsmart them all.

Although working for Hydra erased her memories, it didn't erase her title as the Silver Widow. Many thought she was a ghost but others knew she was real. And if they see her, they are in real danger.
