"Hydra doesn't like leaks." Sitwell said from the backseat.
"Then why don't you try sticking a cork in it?" Sam told him, still paying attention to the road.
"Insight's launching in 16 hours." Natasha said, leaning forward to be heard. "We're cutting it a little bit close here."
"I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the helicarriers directly." Steve explained.
"What? Are you crazy? That is a terrible, terrible idea." Something dropped on the roof, and quickly, Sitwell was pulled through the broken window and thrown into traffic, getting hit by a truck.
Natasha jumped to the front, pulling Steve's head out of the way of a bullet and kicking Sam away.
Adelaide got as close to the front as she could.
Steve threw the car in park. They all watched as the person on the car flew off into the road.
His metal arm pulled him to a stop.
Natasha pulled her gun, but dropped it when the rear was hit by an armored vehicle.
The Winter Soldier jumped back on the car and Sam slammed on the brakes.
The windshield was broken and the steering wheel was removed. "Shit!" Sam screamed.
"Hang on!" They all tried their best to hold onto Steve, but Adelaide and Sam fell off the broken door and rolled to a stop.
Steve was thrown off the overpass, while the other three took cover behind abandoned cars.
Natasha jumped to the other side of traffic and Adelaide jumped off the overpass.
She ran under the passing, running by Natasha. Adelaide stopped when she saw the Winter Soldier's shadow.
Natasha threw her a gun and she fired directly up at the soldier. He retreated behind the wall giving them both time to run behind a truck.
When the soldier came out again, he shot straight down, but they weren't there.
"This way." Adelaide said, running next to parked cars. She turned to Natasha who was no longer there.
Natasha was running back towards a crashed bus, and the Winter Soldier was already following her.
Hiding behind a car, she watched the soldier approach. He wasn't paying any mind to the civilians, but wouldn't care if they got hurt.
There was an explosion on the other side of the street, and while the soldier wasn't looking, Adelaide slid on the roof of the car, kicking him in the side.
She grabbed the barrel of the gun, pulling it and the Winter Soldier towards her. She threw up her knee, aiming for his solar plexus.
Adelaide finally had the gun and started shooting. The soldier used his arm as a shield.
He pulled out a knife. He slashed and stabbed at her, she was barely able to dodge. He was able to knock the gun aside.
Adelaide was able to hold his knife at bay with their arms crossed. His arms pressing down on her she could feel the pain in her ankle.
He watched her favoring her leg and kicked towards her weaker ankle.
Adelaide tried not to scream. She bit down on his hand until she tasted blood. He pulled the knife away, finally getting a cut along her forearm.
She grabbed his arm and flipped him into a nearby car.
Finally she had a chance to run.
"Get out of the way!" She yelled at the people she passed. She found Natasha running towards her.
"Ahh!" Natasha fell to the ground, ducking behind a car.
Adelaide knelt next to her, putting pressure on the bullet wound.
Adelaide saw the Winter Soldier on the hood of a nearby car. Before he could shoot them both dead, Steve ran up to him.
"His gun." Natasha pointed to the gun he had dropped when he started fighting Steve.
"Stay here." Adelaide told her.
Just in time, Adelaide fired the gun before the soldier could shoot Steve.
Dozens of cars rolled in with an armored vehicle. They all aimed at the four yelling at them to surrender.
"Drop the shield, Cap! Get on your knees!"
Adelaide looked around for Natasha, who was being cuffed without any consideration for her wound.

"It was him." Steve said. He still had a far-off look in his eyes. Like he wasn't there mentally. "He looked right at me like he didn't even know me."
"How is that even possible? It was, like, 70 years ago." Sam said.
"Zola. Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43. Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and..."
"None of that's your fault, Steve." Natasha said. She looked like she was about to pass out, her voice weak and eyes barely open.
"Even when J had nothing, I had Bucky."
"We need to get a doctor here." Sam told the guards. "If we don't put pressure on that wound, she's gonna bleed out here in the truck."
The guard on the right gave a warning with its baton. He then flipped it and knocked out the guard next to him. Then kicked him across the head.
"Ah. That thing was squeezing my brain." Maria Hill said, taking off her helmet. "Who is this guy?"
