Dottore had seemed to feel a little better after some pain killers.
A couple of hours had gone by now and he still couldn't get up. The kids were running around enjoying having the daycare for themselves.
I walked back over to Dottore and handed him a glass of water.
He gave me a brief smile before drinking it.
I still had a lot of questions I wanted to ask but I wasn't sure I wanted to know the answer to all.
The water touched the table with a clank and he let out a sigh.
"How could I ever repay you."
His smile was charming.
"No need though you should have gone to a hospital. If you don't ever show up one day ill just watch the kids."
His smile turned to a frown.
"You think it'll happen again?"
I shrugged in response.
"I hope not. No offense but I think you gave poor Scaramouche some childhood trauma."
I glanced over in Scaramouches direction.
Occasionally he would look over at us. It seemed he was still on edge and worried about Dottore. Rosaline understood Dottore would be fine and Childe just went along with anything he was told. Scaramouche though was still a bit suspicious.
Dottore only let out a low laugh.
"Yes this wasn't exactly something I wanted the kids to see."
I looked back down at his wound. The bandages probably needed to be changed and it wouldn't be bad to check the stitching either.
I picked up the black case from the side and opened it back up.
There were still tones of supplies inside of it.
Paranoia did crazy things for a person.
I took out a fresh roll of bandages and kneeled down on the carpet.
Dottore leaned back a bit as he watched me.
When the bandages came off he looked down at the wound.
