I was a mixture of nervous and excited when the next day arrived.
The moment I was dressed I was out and away from my room. I decided to take a walk around the manor and listen in on any gossip. Dottore's arrival had spread through the place like wildfire. The moment one knew, everyone else knew. Listening I found out that Dottore would be arriving this morning.
I stood at the top of the stairs looking downward.
Nobody was eating breakfast this morning. In truth, I hadn't seen Kaeya or Pierro yet. I imagined they were both preparing for the meeting.
During my walk upstairs, I found a room with chairs and some paper. Most likely, that would be where the meeting was being held.
As I leaned on the railing I could hear the sound of footsteps approaching down below. I cast a glance down to find Kaeya walking toward the center of the living room. He was dressed much more classy than usual. He wore a black suit with a white tie. Whatever they were going to discuss must have been important. It wasn't often Kaeya dressed up.
He must have noticed me looking at him because he tilted his head back in my direction.
He gave me a flashy smile, "You should go rest in your room for the day Y/N. There won't be much happening here."
I didn't return his smile and looked past him, "Wheres Pierro?"
Kaeya frowned and crossed his arms.
"He'll be out soon. They're almost here." Kaeya turned to look toward the front door and his eyes narrowed.
I looked over at the doors myself and I could feel the moment he showed up on the property. Chills ran down my spine at the intensity of his aura.
The Dottore that was about to walk through those doors was not one I had seen before.
"Kaeya."
My eyes flickered down and Pierro had stepped into the room.
Kaeya looked over and Pierro gave him a sharp look. That seemed to straighten him out because his expression turned blank. Pierro turned his head to look at me a curious expression on his face. One that seemed to be asking why I was here.
There was a light knock at the door and everyone looked back at the front.
My body stiffened up a bit and I moved closer to the edge of the railing.
Pierro made his way to the front door with Kaeya following at his side.
When the doors opened I held my breath.
"Good morning Doctor and Regrator... what a surprise."
Pierro opened the doors wider for the two men to step inside.
