The moment Scaramouche saw me he began to cry even louder.
I ran toward Kaeya and sent a kick to his stomach. He had no time to react as his body was already beaten badly. He threw the boy forward and grabbed his stomach in pain. As Scaramouche flew through the air I dashed, leapt up, and grabbed onto him.
When I landed Scaramouche was safe in my arms.
The little boy stopped screaming and hugged my neck.
When Kaeya had recovered he was looking up at me with surprise.
"Hey don't steal my miss—"
I sent another kick this time hitting him in the ribs.
Kaeya fell backward and I turned away from him.
As I made my way to the stairs a slow clapping began.
I didn't need to glance back to know it was Pierro.
"You've passed." Pierro firmly said.
I hurried up the stairs. Pierro had called out for me but I wasn't going back not with Scaramouche here.
I slammed my room door shut behind me and placed the small boy down.
I looked Scaramouche over. He was covered in small cuts and bruises. My fist tightened and if it wasn't for Scaramouche being here I would have gone back to finish Kaeya off.
He still had tears in his eyes and his face was red.
"Are you alright?" I brought a hand up and gently wiped away a stray tear.
Scaramouche sniffled and crossed his arms.
He didn't answer my question he only looked down at the ground.
I moved my hands to wrap them around him and pulled him in for a hug. Scaramouche didn't resist instead he sunk into me.
What the fuck happened.
How could this have happened??
Dottore would never have allowed this to happen so why was Scaramouche here?
"Scara baby what happened?" I asked looking down at him.
