Just beautiful.

The crying, the screaming, and the tears.

A soothing melody of death.

It was all like music to my ears.

I hummed taking my time to walk toward the ballroom.

That was where the real fun was taking place. It was also the area where the screams were loudest.

Bodies laid in my wake.

I stepped through blood and overtop of people.

The screams and firing of guns now grew louder.

Approaching the door to the ballroom I leaned against the frame to look inside.

The ballroom reeked of death.

People laid on the floor some dead and some dying.

It was just as chaotic as I had suspected.

Some of my men still remained. Firing at anyone who they could see. Some guests cowered and pled for their lives while others returned fire.

As I looked around the room I spotted my target.

With gritted teeth he fired back at the men meanwhile protecting some of the guests.

A grin crossed my face and I let out a chuckle.

Immediately upon hearing it his head snapped in my direction.

I gave him a crooked smile before turning away and heading back out to the hall.

"YOU BASTARD!"

You could hear the pain and rage that rang out in his voice.

I was certain he'd follow after me. He wouldn't allow an opportunity like that to slip by.

So I took my time humming a soft tune and heading back down the hall from which I came.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY—!" Multiple shots rung out behind me closer than before.

From the end of the hallway I looked back.

He had brutally made his way to the ballroom entrance. The guests he previously had been protecting long forgotten.
