The closer the day got the more my nerves began to grow.
Tomorrow the meeting would be held.
Tomorrow everything would finally happen.
One of us would be going down. Maybe even both of us, but if I could take them with me it would bring me a bit of peace.
There had been no further communication from Dottore either. I didn't expect there to be though. It was risky enough that day he had managed to sneak in.
However even without him around I was still able to gain information.
Kaeya was getting slightly more open with me. He must have been pretty confident with the wedding being soon.
Pierro on the other hand was still weary. He didn't stop Kaeya from speaking as much as he usually did but there was still the occasional interruption. Something else had happened as well.
Pierro was getting a little more irritated.
For the last few days he had been much busier than usual. At first I assumed it was because he was making plans but now I wasn't so sure.
Sometimes his men would come by and whisper things to him. Whatever those whispers are they seemed to set him off even more.
Something was changing that I could feel.
We were currently gathered in the living room.
Kaeya sat beside me happily staring at the ring he had proposed to me with.
I had still refused to wear it, but it didn't bother him as much anymore. Kaeya had seemed to convince himself that I would have to come around eventually and for now he'd just be happy we were getting married.
I crossed my arms and looked around the room.
Pierro was looking through some papers on the couch. They appeared to have something to do with the marriage.
Like usual I had no say in any the arrangements.
The dress, the cake, the place, all of it would be decided by those two.
If I had actually wanted to marry Kaeya that definitely would have bothered me. Especially since I knew Pierro would still make the decisions.
