The next morning I woke up in his arms. He was holding me just as securely as last night.
"Good morning." His voice was low and slightly rougher than usual.
I turned around facing him in his arms.
He ran a hand through my hair his tired eyes gazing down at me.
"Good morning," I responded in a sleepy voice.
Dottore yawned and loosened his hold on me.
"I'd like to go into town today." He quietly said.
I hummed in approval not fully awake yet.
I rolled over a bit pulling the covers up further.
"Oh that's right you're grumpy in the morning." He said with a soft chuckle.
I ignored him closing my eyes once more to try and go back to sleep.
Dottore sighed and placed a soft slow kiss on my neck. I listened as the sheets ruffled and he got up from bed.
"When I return you better be awake."
I groaned and pushed the covers up further.
Dottore had eventually dragged me out of bed and we were currently set out to town. He left the kids at home with Rosa being responsible for the other two.
He had wanted at least one more day alone before we returned to our usual working lives.
Dottore decided to take me down to the waterfront for the day. It was still a bit cold after yesterday but the rain had disappeared. His arm was linked with mine as we walked down the boardwalk. There were not many people out today which made this all the better.
"We should be there soon."
I turned my focus back on Dottore.
He was taking us to a place he liked to be when he visited this area of town. According to him the area was much more secluded and would give us time to be "alone".
When we reached the end of the boardwalk we took a path off the side and into a forest area. Dottore guided us for a bit longer before entering a small clearing. The area was surrounded by trees from the back but at the front was the lake.
