The following two days my body felt heavy. On Tuesday, the day after I was drugged my whole body was in pain. I wasn't able to do as much that day but the kids didn't mind. They were able to keep themselves entertained.
Today was Wednesday. I felt better. I could move without groaning and now my muscles were just strained.
I was currently sitting at my vanity putting in some earrings.
Dottore would arrive soon so I had to be ready.
The text messages from Monday had turned out to be from Kaeya. When I first saw his name on my phone my heart dropped. Thankfully he wasn't texting for the reasons I first thought he was. He only wanted to update me about when he'd return, which was soon of course.
I finished putting on my earrings and stood up. Stretching my arms out I looked at myself in the mirror.
Tonight we were going to another fancy restaurant Dottore had frequented.
The ringing of the doorbell sounded through the house. It snapped me out of my trance and I hurried over to grab my purse. I made my way to the door slipping on my heels as I went.
When I opened the door Dottore was waiting for me. He was dressed in a suit and his usual black jacket hung from his shoulders. He had a soft smile on his face and he seemed to be in a better mood than he was on Monday.
"Hello, gorgeous."
The sound of his voice made my heart skip a beat and I smiled in return.
"Hello to you as well." My face burned from the compliment and he extended an arm.
"Shall we?"
I nodded my head and took his outstretched arm.
After locking up, Dottore led me to his car. Like the gentleman he was he opened the side door for me and I sat down. He closed the door and made his way to the driver's seat.
He started up the car and in moments we were headed to the restaurant.
The drive there was quiet. Not an awkward quiet but just a relaxing one. We talked a bit at the start but I didn't want to pester him too much as he drove.
We arrived at the restaurant in record time. Dottore helped me out of my seat and I linked my arm with his. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling and the majority of the room was themed to be black and white. Dottore approached the front desk and the man there immediately turned his attention to him.
"Sir welcome." The nervous server said with a smile.
Dottore only nodded and the server came around from the counter.
