Jannah was the first to sprang into action by bolting out of the en-suite her hand on her chest to help soothe the raging heartbeat beneath her pectoral. How on earth is she supposed look at him now? What was that? And they weren't on good terms when he left the country to begin with. He is back here earlier than she expected!

She paced around the room anxiously waiting for him to come out of the bathroom. She almost saw him naked like the day he was born! God, that was so not funny. And she was about to micturate in front of him if not for that soap that fell with a loud thud terrorized her. She wasn't seeing properly, didn't notice the water running or steam on the glass.

That would've been so embarrassing, she thought biting on her nails. Why wasn't she watchful and more vigilant to feel the heat in the bathroom and his obvious cologne in the room? It is so obvious and palpable. Now he'd think she did it intentionally which wasn't the case. But who cares what he thinks?

The door clicked open behind making her jump on the balls of her feet. Turning around, she surveyed him thoroughly from head to toe. He is only wearing a sweatpants without shirt or anything to close his wet yummy upper body. The man is definitely not a fan of clothes when he is alone. Maybe because he doesn't have belly fat and is enjoying the view of his body whenever he pass by the mirror? You can never be sure.

He ferried towards her in purposeful strides, his one brow raised and face set austere. Like a teacher about to scold a naughty student which irked her to no end. She always feels like a bairn around him instead of a wife. Except yesternight, of course, though the memory is a bit hazy, she remembered more than enough to make her tingly.

He stood an arm's length away from her and looked down at her severely. And the height difference too. "What are you doing here?"

She stood straighter, happy to have the en-suite milestone behind them. She almost thought he was going to talk about what happened, she wouldn't have been able to answer. What would she say? Oh, I almost saw you naked, how cute huh?

She chuckled in her head then recalled that he asked her a question which she is supposed to answer because it is straightforward. "Came down for business too. Surprised?"

He didn't blink when he answered in earnest. "Yes. How did you get here? Who brought you or told you about this place?"

She pursed her lips to the side not knowing how to answer that. Is she supposed to tell him how they planned the entire trip and who brought her here? Or tell him about his mother who wants to bring them closer by using the idea of her daughter? Or that Mohammad brought them into that room after helping her mother-in-law? She is kind of confused here. It is so anticlimactic that she is not a connoisseur in lying.

She opted for the safest territory of course. "That is a boring long story that you definitely won't enjoy. It will bore you and waste your time. You are also an extremely busy man, you see. Let's just enjoy the view and eat lots of food."

"I want straight answers when I ask questions." He grunted still looking moody. When is he never moody anyway?

He won't let this slip, she'll have to answer him one way or the other. "Your mother. My sweet adorable mother-in-law. I'm still wondering how she gave birth to a reptilian creature, seriously. I mean, she is savory and just incredible while her son on the other hand is...malodorously jaded."

"Stop drifting off the topic with unnecessary spiel." He made a move to leave when she stopped him, she wanted to ask something personal but that won't do for now. He is not in the mood to entertain her no more than she is.

"Well, not all of us are intelligent." She settled on those words instead.

She is becoming an expert in reading his mood and what he can and won't do in certain situations. He is not happy that she is there, it's written all over him. What did she expect? A welcome balloon with lots of cakes? If the taut face, scrunched brows and that aura he is exuding, the one she hasn't felt in days is anything to go with. Wait, is he controlling it or is she just becoming immune to his intimidating aura? The mysterious and enigmatic dynamite.
