Adnan gave out a long sigh at the smell of Jannah's feminine perfume on his pillow, he clutched the furry-fill pillow with vigor as he longed for sleep but he couldn't. He tossed and turned on the bed before deciding to go get some water from the kitchen. Jannah normally fills up the jug by his bedside, what happened now? Maybe she left for the villa afraid of being alone?
He made it down the stairs longing to find her in the kitchen making something for them like always. Longing to hear the loud squeals of Imara from the living room watching her many cartoons. But there was none, only the gentle sound of his flip flops gumming to the tiles beneath him. His eyes zeroed on the island as he remembered a particular scene few days after their return from Maldives.
"Yo, Dracs! I never knew you were going to come back home today. Why are you here?" She asked from the gas cooker turning around with perspiration all over her forehead and neck.
He came back then to gather some papers, crucial ones that she's torn many days ago. He's forgotten about the new copies he'd made in his home study at that time. The man who's never forgotten anything related to work, it was embarrassing when he realized with much dismay that the meeting he's set for later with a few small and local business owners won't hold without those papers. He wants to invest in their business to help them.
That is something Adnan Ibrahim Attahir had never done since he succeeded and became rich until Jannah's interference with his life. There is just something about the way she treats the poor in the streets, even back in Maldives she's given lots of her Maldivian rufiyaa and euros too. He wasn't sure how she affected him so but he knew it was all thanks to her that he thought about it deeply. He's disregarded the topic when Alim told him about the business owners requesting for help.
Throwing her a lazy look, he answered with a drawl in his tone that made her intestines vibrate. "Came back for important papers." They were in his hands.
She cleaned her hands on the leggings she is wearing, her below-the-butt shirt riding a little then falling back. "Oh. I knew you wouldn't come back just like that. You love it when you abandon us."
"Maybe." He made his way to the refrigerator where he took a bottle of water as an excuse for her to talk to him further.
"Ah, the heartless man with beautiful face." Her throaty voice was getting closer and closer as she traipsed to him in slow tentative steps.
Adnan hid back a smile, she never seize to compliment him when insulting him, he never minded because each and every single insult that emerge from her lips is accurate and it describes him in every situation. Whenever she is quiet around him, he feels sick and disturbed so her insulting him meant nothing but a nice atmosphere.
"I'm going now." He made a move to leave the kitchen and out of the house since he's taken the papers but Jannah was there in front of him.
She gave a small moue of her lips, snapping his attention to the peachy angelic yet libidinous lips curling. Adnan was filled with this overwhelming feeling so energetic and vigorous that he succumbed to it and lean down, his breath fanning her face. He saw the way her face stilled, her eyes widened and breath hitched. Oh, he didn't know what he was doing too at that time but he had to kiss her. A small one will suffice.
It had been intended as a light, affectionate kiss, but as her lips trembled beneath his, there was a low, soft sound from deep in his throat, and hungrily he enfolded her in his arms. Startled by the sudden blaze of heat between them, she made a move to pull away, but he held her more tightly, his mouth forcing hers open. Insidious pleasure trickled through her, sweet and irresistible. Jannah let out a pleasure filled gasp.
Her hands fluttered over the hard surface of his back before resting on his shoulders, and her breasts pressed against his chest as she strained closer. His lips moved roughly on hers, a warm velvet friction that seemed to last forever. She swallowed convulsively and took a quick, abbreviated breath, and her lungs seemed to be filled not with air, but fire. Scorching and sweltering inferno. There was something animalistic in that kiss that made her tremble from head to toe, inside and out.
