I dare you to comment on each paragraph for an update later😘
Jannah and Adnan left the farm-house together and stopped at a small breakfast restaurant on the way to order takeaway so they could eat in the car. Jannah was excited and more than glad to try feeding Adnan while he drove, he was reluctant but she wouldn't give up, she is Jannah after all.
"I'm your wife, if I don't get to do this then who would? Come on, stop acting like a child and let me do my job." She insisted, her hand close to his lips which he reluctantly opened to let the few pieces of chips inside.
She went back to her seat murmuring; "I'll eat twice then feed you once."
"Why? That is unfair." He grunted earning a raised brow from Jannah because what the heck did he just say? Did Adnan just let out a lighthearted comment? Surely it is about to snow in Nigeria.
"It is not. I have a smaller mouth than you. I give you eight pieces of chips and I eat three or four to make it even." She beamed, pushing three pieces inside her mouth to prove her point.
Adnan shook his head at her tactics and continue to drive them both to the city. It was shorter than when she was coming alone, because he drives fast? Which reminds her, she's never seen him driving by himself. Where on earth did he leave Edward? And she thought he was handicapped or somehow incapable of driving himself. Just to show superiority, huh?
"I miss Mama." Imara ran into her mother's arms with dried tears coating her cheeks.
Jannah's heart tugged at that. She was busy enjoying her time with her husband and forgot about her little girl though she's called yesterday only for her mother-in-law to tell her she was fast asleep there on her thighs after crying her eyes out for not seeing her mother. They've never been away for more than necessary and it's never in the night.
"I miss you more, Imy. Mama brought you so many gifts." She kissed her entire face tasting the remains of the wet tears inside her mouth.
Imara pouted then rushed to her father who swooped her into his arms and started murmuring to her like he always does. That was enough to get Imara giggling loud while flopping her arms around animatedly. It looks like she is having a nice conversation, her eyes widening at her father then she'll throw her head back and guffaw. Jannah smiled, her perfect little family.
Aisha crept from behind her looking haggard and tired, definitely from taking care of Imara through the night. She's changed into a maid outfit, maybe because she had nothing to wear?
"I am so tired. Are we going back to the mansion now or should I catch some sleep?" She asked behind a yawn, her eyes forced to stay on Jannah's face and not Adnan's animated body language. It is a bizarre, something she can never get used to.
Jannah meandered to ask Adnan but before she could open her mouth, he's already talking to her. "I'm leaving alone."
She pouted her lips then shrugged her shoulders at him. Had he agreed to take them back home, she would've checked his temperature to see whether or not the man is alright. He's been too nice from the car ride to the villa, another act of benign will be her undoing. Besides, she's seen enough of him for now that his attitude is starting to smell from afar.
Taking her daughter from him, they watched as he swaggered into his Spider Bentley Bentayga. Imara waved at him alone while Jannah watched with tightened chest remembering what he'd said yesterday. Will she be able to live like they did before when she tells him about her regained memory? When she decides to tell him that she never did lost her memory? That is going to be the most hardest test to have ever existed.
