The flight back to Nigeria was easier than coming, Jannah had thought as the four of them made their way out of the private jet to the waiting onyx SUV waiting for them at the tarmac. Jannah wasn't holding a single thing, not even a handbag because the bodyguards heavily armed and dressed in ebony wouldn't let her do a thing for herself or their boss, Adnan.
They were treated like royalty and if it were possible, the men there would've carried them inside the car so they won't have to walk and dirty their shoes. She was filled with giddiness at the thought of how powerful her husband really is. Such lavish life and dominance while flying, no wonder he loves being away all the time. She settled inside the SUV with Adnan and Imara. Alim is in a separate car ahead of them.
Adnan said nothing throughout the ride back home though they've conversed a little with Imara in the plane before she fell asleep in his arms. Jannah had noticed that something was amiss since yesterday when he told her about their sudden departure back to Nigeria and not Tokyo. Why is he back here with them? Perhaps he wants to drop them and leave so she won't create more problems for him?
She'd asked why the sudden departure but he refused to provide any answer, she shrugged. That's his problem and it's not like he always tells her what is there in his mind. She won't bother herself with his problems now when she is going back to see her mother-in-law and Aisha. She's missed that crazy girl and her cuckoo ideas that always keeps her on edge. And her incredible pretty mother-in-law.
They arrive back at the mansion, Adnan didn't enter the house saying he's got places he needed to be before coming back home. Jannah didn't trust his words, why would she? But why shouldn't she? He's never lied to her about anything since she's met him. That means he really will come back home later in the night, right? Only time will tell...
"Jayyy!" Aisha yelled out at the top of her lungs rushing down the stairs to hug her best friend in a bear hug then Imara came next who giggled throughout the squash.
Jannah grinned widely knowing her cheeks are definitely going to hurt today from so much joy of seeing Aisha again. It feels like forever since she's last seen her that she now feels overwhelmed. When was it they left Nigeria? Just fifteen days ago or was it sixteen? It feels like a decade or century had pass already without them being around the house. She feels strange in her own home.
"I've missed you." Jannah murmured hugging Aisha again to her bosom enthusiastically, her eyes glistening with sheer felicity and joy.
"I know I miss you more. I mean, you've been doing some naughty stuff with Draco which means I was at the bottom of your thoughts while you were at it." Aisha pulled away wiggling her brows around her forehead for emphasis.
Jannah raised a brow and surprisingly, didn't flush this time around. Is it because she's met someone that is broader and more brazen than Aisha? Because Mariam made sure the entire water that is in her head is empty, she poured everything down the drain and poured something new she inundated her in. Aisha is now a little below her hundred hanging around fifty or forty when it comes to Mariam.
She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "What can I say? I've charmed my husband."
Aisha's brows shoot up to her forehead. "The girl is growing so fast and becoming like her mama. Come and tell me everything that has happened in Maldives!"
Aisha yanked Jannah's hand up the entrance staircase while holding Imara in her other arm. The trio entered the house with a loud brassy taslim. Seven housemaids stood there in their burnt orange uniform waiting for their arrival. Jannah's eyes found Aisha's across the room who shrugged her shoulders impishly. They wanted to see their mistress after she's been away for a long time.
