Aya felt immense pride swell in her chest, at the sight of the woman she thought of dearly standing above them, the official Hokage hat perched atop her head, and she smiled as they made eye contact through the crowd, giving her a slight wave.
The crowd cheered, and once the celebrations were through, they met, gray eyes staring into amber ones, both with cheeky smiles on their faces.
"Congrats," she breathed, dodging the woman's noogie.
"Hm. You know, you're supposed to say Hokage Tsunade now, squirt," she teased. "Or perhaps now is a good time to call me Lady Tsunade, or Lady Hokage. Ooh, now that has a nice ring to it." She looked at the girl expectantly, and in response, Aya only rolled her eyes.
"Nice try, but to me you're still a big, old granny, Tsunade," Aya mocked, using the title that only Naruto seemed to have the guts to call her. "Hard to think of you in a respectable position if I'm being honest."
At this the woman pouted, a look of offense crossing her features. She placed a hand against her chest and scoffed dramatically, throwing her head back for added effects. It earned a laugh from the girl, and before long the two were forced to part with their separate duties, yet the blonde promised to meet up with her soon as she had something important to discuss with her.
What it was, she didn't know, but she assured the older woman that she would keep her word to meet up soon, and left for a certain chunin's home, but of course, not forgetting to stop by the hospital with a vase filled with flowers.
